Xushan Park
Xushan park is located in Xushan mountain in the north of Nankang city.
Main attractions
Xushan Park covers an area of about 200 mu, including 8600 square meters of green space (excluding water area), with a green space rate of 65%. Since 2007, Nankang municipal Party committee and government have invested nearly 30 million yuan in the comprehensive transformation of Xushan park according to its current situation, natural resources and human resources advantages, so as to build Xushan Park into a comprehensive urban park integrating leisure, fitness and entertainment, revolutionary traditional education and ecological environment protection.
According to the engineering design, the overall function of Xushan park is divided into four areas, namely: revolutionary traditional education area, historic cultural area, leisure and entertainment area, sports and fitness area. The main construction contents include: monument to revolutionary martyrs, statue group of celebrities in Nankang City, Confucius Memorial Hall, cultural corridor, Lishan tower, gate court, tennis court, etc. At the same time, the landscape facilities such as artificial lake, tunnel, flower path and bamboo forest are arranged according to the situation of the mountain. The whole park reflects the landscape style of urban park with harmonious landscape, beautiful environment, exquisite carving, profound cultural heritage and historical accumulation. The park started the first phase of reconstruction in October 2006 and entered the second phase of reconstruction in July 2007. It has been completely completed. It is an excellent place for Nankang citizens to have leisure and entertainment, exercise and carry out patriotism education, and has become a brand-new card to show the image of Nankang city.
Lishan tower in Xushan Park
Lishan pagoda is one of the main cultural monuments in Nankang. It was first built in the Qitian period of the Ming Dynasty, more than 380 years ago. It is one of the two major construction projects called "building pagoda at Shuikou, building dike at Xiliu, Yongli for thousands of years". It was demolished in 1968 and existed for more than 340 years. In history, Lishan pagoda once stood on the shore of Zhangjiang River, creating one of the eight scenic spots in Nankang, which is called "Canglong leaping wave". It also stands side by side with Wenfeng pagoda of Dongshan across the river, making it a unique cultural landscape. The total height of the rebuilt Lishan pagoda is 69.6 meters, and the estimated cost is about 5 million yuan. It is built according to the shape of Shuikou pagoda, symbolizing the prosperity of Nankang. The architectural design of the pagoda is in the style of ancient pagoda of Ming Dynasty, with the characteristics of contemporary antique architecture. The interior has the functions of tourism and exhibition. In the plane layout, it adopts eight sides, nine floors, eighteen levels, clear floor and dark floor, highland Palace at the bottom, and six floors The facade design is a pavilion style tower. The appearance is divided into three parts: pedestal, tower body and tower brake. Each layer of the tower is equipped with cornices. The eaves are gradually retracted, and the height of the tower is gradually reduced. The first layer is made with false doors on all sides, and the remaining four are carved with false windows.
Cultural corridor
The cultural corridor of Xushan Park shuttles through the whole park and is built on an artificial lake, which shows the ancient flavor from a distance
Confucius Memorial
Located in the park, the Confucius Memorial Hall stands a statue of Confucius, which makes people feel the strong flavor of Confucian culture, as well as the way of Confucius' study.
