Arshan Temple

Arshan temple, whose French name is "Yanfu Baoming Temple", is located 17 kilometers north of Amugulang Town, new balhuzuo banner, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. It is a Gelug Temple of Tibetan Buddhism.

Built in 1928 by erchinbatu, the temple faces south and covers an area of 2130 mu. There were more than 300 lamas in its heyday and 8 in 2009. At first, the temple mainly used Mongolian medicine to cure diseases and save people. During the cultural revolution, the temple was almost completely destroyed. Today's main hall is the medicine storehouse in the past Arshan temple, which is the only old building in the temple after the cultural revolution. After the cultural revolution, the medicine storehouse was expanded as the main hall of Arshan temple. Not far from Arshan temple is Ganzhuer temple. Before 2003, all believers went to Arshan temple to burn incense and worship Buddha. Since the reconstruction and opening of Ganzhuer temple in 2003, there have been few worshippers in the temple.

In 2009, apart from several Lama's residences on both sides of the Arshan temple, there were basically empty spaces around it. The temple is very small, with two auxiliary halls on the left and right. From south to north, the temple is built on a gentle rising slope. The main hall (the original medicine storehouse) was built in 1928 and renovated in 1985. It is a Han Tibetan style building, made of brick and wood. The roof is composed of Xieshan and Pingding. The top of Xieshan mountain is made of iron sheet, and the slope is very gentle. The hall is three rooms wide and four rooms deep. There are pharmacist Buddha and Vajra hand in the hall.
