Located in Nanling County, Wuhu City, Anhui Province, Yashan Huahai Shilin tourist area is one of the important scenic spots in the tourism economic circle of "two mountains and one lake" in Anhui Province. It is a provincial scenic spot.

Main attractions

Yashan Huahai stone forest is located in Hewan Town, Nanling County, on the South Bank of the Yangtze River, at the junction of Tongling, Chizhou and Wuhu. The scenic area covers an area of about 20 square kilometers, and the scenery is very beautiful. There are more than 60 odd peaks with different shapes in the area, such as Yazi peak, Meiren peak, Shizi peak, bat peak, etc. there are also countless strange stones everywhere, such as the great turtle, Bajie stone, toad watching the sky, rhinoceros watching the moon, panda playing leaves, double swallow whispering, hundred monkey pilgrimage, etc. Xishan stone landscape is a unique tourist attraction with its miniature and bonsai style.

Most of the scenic spots are limestone mountains. Under the action of natural effects such as orogeny, karst erosion, rain erosion and natural weathering, there are abundant stone forests and stone forest groups in the scenic area. The stone forest is not only large in size, but also has the characteristics of lifelike image, different shapes and different shapes. In the long-term production and life, the local residents use the tiny space in the cracks of the stone forest to plant peony. From a distance, it looks like the peony growing on the stone. County of Peony

The scenic spot is the famous "hometown of peony". Before and after the Qingming Festival, there are lots of beautiful stones and flowers in the beautiful scenery. The peony here is different from other peonies in that it is not used for ornamental purposes, but for the needs of social and economic life of local residents. The planting history of Paeonia suffruticosa in Xishan can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. Due to the barren land, thin soil layer and poor soil quality, it is difficult to plant crops in Xishan. In order to survive, ancient ancestors gradually formed the tradition of planting Paeonia suffruticosa in the state of natural selection. Peony root medicine, known as Paeonia, medicinal Paeonia is well-known.

Xishan spirit stone

There are more than 90 large and small caves in shanhuahai Stone Forest scenic area. The hall of "Shenxian cave" is spacious, which can accommodate thousands of people. The "Hailong cave" has one corridor and five palaces, and the undercurrent in the cave can paddle. There are many clear springs among the peaks in the scenic area. The mountain springs merge into Nanling lake, which looks like a silver mirror between the peaks. Nanshan Temple in the scenic area was originally named Lingyan temple. It is said that it was built here by King Jin qiaojue of Tibet who came to Jiuhua Mountain.

In 1987, Yashan Huahai stone forest tourist area was listed as a provincial scenic spot because of its unique natural and cultural landscape, and "Xishan Lingshi" is one of the ten scenic spots in Wuhu.

Covering an area of 25 square kilometers, the scenic spot is the largest karst landscape in the Yangtze River Delta region in China, with stone forests, karst caves, waterfalls, canyons, Tiankeng, underground rivers and Peak Lakes integrated into a beautiful landscape. There are more than 60 pictographic peaks: Yazi peak, Meiren peak, Bat peak, Lion Peak, peak to peak; stone wonder, lifelike, big tortoise, Bajie stone, toad sky, rhinoceros moon, fun: stone landscape, all over the mountains. Tiankeng, Shilin, Jianshan literary style, the majestic stone mountain, Peony stone forest, each with its own characteristics, 88 large and small caves, "Xishan Lingshi" is one of the ten scenic spots in Wuhu. Yanni cave, Hailong cave, shuanglongjing, underground river, mysterious. Longjing is warm in winter and cool in summer, with three tides a day. Nanling lake at the top of the mountain was suddenly seen in 1976 when the Tangshan earthquake happened, which is a marvelous sight.

Ya mountain is the origin and protection area of Chinese wind peony, the famous "hometown of peony". Every time around the Qingming Festival, the peonies in full bloom are dotted among the mountains, rocks, peaks and rocks. The flowers and stones are beautiful. poetic charm

Li Bai, a poet, once lived here and wrote the well-known poem "farewell to children in Nanling". Wei Yingwu, Wang Anshi, Tang Xianzu, Mei dingzha and other celebrities of all ages have also left traces here. It is said that the Nanshan Temple in the scenic spot was built by King Jin qiaojue of Tibet before he went to Jiuhua. The Buddhist culture has a long history.

The ancient ancestral temples of surnames and ancient cliff stone carvings all give people a feeling of nostalgia for the past. Twelve stone arch bridges were built in the Tang, song, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Mei dingzha, a poet of the Ming Dynasty, wrote that "a hundred feet fly to the peak of a hundred feet, and there are many snails and daixie in the mirror.". In autumn, the twelve silver bridges lock the jade dragon. It fully shows the poetic and picturesque meaning of "small bridge, flowing water and family".
