The Yixing City Art Museum, with a total area of 3000 square meters, is funded by Haixing machinery. It is equipped with first-class modern exhibition hall, multi-function hall, art leisure tea bar, etc. the collection of nearly 1000 oil paintings and sculptures will be open to the public for free all the year round. At the same time, the museum will actively carry out theoretical research on Chinese modern art, focusing on oil painting, sculpture and other arts, and provide a broad platform for domestic and foreign calligraphers to sketch, create, display and exchange.

Recent developments

On the afternoon of December 23, 2012, Yixing City Art Museum, located in huanke Park, opened ceremoniously. The first "city style · Invitational Exhibition of works of famous oil painters at home and abroad" was also held in the museum. Municipal leaders Zhang Lijun, Shao Yaqun, Zhou Zhongping and Wang Hualiang attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition.

It is understood that the "city style · invitation exhibition of famous Chinese and foreign oil painters' works" held in the museum is jointly sponsored by the Publicity Department of the municipal Party committee, the Municipal Bureau of culture, radio, film and television, Yixing daily and the Municipal Federation of literary and art circles, and will last until February 25, 2013. A total of 150 outstanding works were exhibited in the exhibition, including masterpieces by famous artists in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, as well as masterpieces by Russian artists.
