Li Siguang has always attached great importance to China's energy and mineral exploration, especially made great contributions to the exploration and development of oil resources in New China by using the theory of geomechanics
Glacier exhibition hall
Glaciers are the most magnificent landscapes in high latitudes and high altitudes. They are the largest fresh water reservoir on the earth. Nearly 70% of the world's fresh water is stored in glaciers. Not only in modern times, but also in the ancient times of the earth, glaciers frequently appeared. The nearest ancient glacier to us is the Quaternary glacier, which is the general name of glacial activities that occurred many times in most areas in the latest geological age of the earth. Whether there has ever been a Quaternary glacier in China is very important for studying the Quaternary Geology and geomorphology, solving the problems of engineering geology and hydrogeology.
Exhibition hall of Paleontology
Life on earth has a history of 3.8 billion years since its birth. The long history of life evolution, twists and turns, ups and downs, has left us a large number of fossils and attracted the attention and research of countless scientists. Li Siguang, a great scientist, is one of them. His research, identification methods and classification criteria of fusulinidae fossils have been used up to now, which has opened up a new way for the study of micropaleozoa.
Earthquake exhibition hall
Have you ever experienced an earthquake? Have you ever had the feeling of mountains falling apart and the earth spinning around when you were hit by an earthquake? According to the ancient and modern clues, human beings have been exploring these mysteries for a long time. Li Siguang, a great geologist, is an outstanding representative in exploring these mysteries. He introduced applied mechanics into geology, explained and studied the laws of crustal structure and crustal movement from the viewpoint of mechanics, and created the world-famous geomechanics and a new situation of geological science.
