General situation of the residence

Yang Yuting residence was built in 1920s. It is now the State Tax Bureau of Dadong District of Shenyang City. It was announced as a municipal cultural relics protection unit in 1996. In 2003, it was announced as a provincial cultural relic protection unit.

Personage introduction

Yang Yuting, born in 1885 in Faku County, Liaoning Province, studied in the Japanese army sergeant school. After Huifeng, he served as the director of Fengtian ordnance factory, director of ordnance Bureau, chief of staff of the 27th division, and gradually gained Zhang zuolin's trust. In 1916, after Zhang zuolin took control of the military and political power in Fengtian, Yang Yuting was appointed chief of staff of the military supervision department of Fengtian to assist Zhang zuolin in dominating the northeast and marching into the pass. In 1922, he was promoted to the chief counsellor of the inspection and inspection department of the three eastern provinces. Later, he also served as the supervisor of the ordnance factory of the three eastern provinces and became Zhang zuolin's right arm. In 1929, Yang Yuting was shot by Zhang Xueliang in Shuaifu tiger hall.

Residence building

Yang Yuting residence is composed of a main building and a courtyard. The main building is a western style brick concrete structure. It has two floors above the ground and one floor below the ground, with stone like walls. The windows are arched and decorated with arc-shaped window covers. The windows on the second floor and between them are decorated with semicircular columns and Ionian style capitals. In front of the main entrance, there is a hall with high steps and exquisite wood carvings. An oval open hall is built outside the Western gable, which is connected with the main building. The hall has two floors. The first floor is decorated with Ionian capitals, and the second floor is decorated with wooden friezes. On the first floor of the basement, there are windows above the ground. Siheyuan is located in the south of the main building. The building is earlier than the main building. It is composed of main room, east-west wing room and gatehouse. It is a traditional Chinese style building with green brick and gray tile front porch and hard mountain style. There are five main rooms, a Baoxia in front of Mingjian, and ear rooms on both sides of East and West. Four buildings are purlin Fang color painting, pillars painted with Zhu, the floor under the gallery paved with glazed tiles. There is a white jade lotus fountain in the center of the courtyard.
