Jinbei Forest Park is located at the junction of xiawu banner and Daliang Town, Wuqing District, Tianjin city. The park covers a total area of 12000 mu, with 8000 mu of afforestation. It is the largest artificial forest park in North China.

Introduction to the park

Before liberation, because the forest park in the north of Tianjin was slightly higher in the northwest and lower in the southeast, the floods were frequent, the North Canal and qinglongwan river often burst, and the impact and wind deposition made the soil desertification in this area very serious. In order to effectively control sandstorm, in 1950s, Wuqing government organized local people to build windbreak and sand fixation forest, with Populus simonii, willow and Amorpha fruticosa as the main tree species. In the 1970s, afforestation, sand dune leveling, canal construction and water diversion were started. More than 4000 mu of Populus tomentosa, Populus psammophila and fast-growing high-yield forest were built, and more than 2600 mu of orchard was built, which made the desertification control work change from single protection type to economic benefit type.

In order to give tourists a better experience of the original ecology of drinking tobacco and firewood, fragrant stove, outdoor barbecue, Orion pot stew, horse journey and post station body rest, Jinbei forest post station is born from this; The first phase development of the post station area covers an area of 518 mu, with landscape green space of 250000 square meters. The picking orchard is composed of pear, peach, plum, hawthorn and other fruit trees.
