A brief introduction to the forest of steles
The stele forest in Guangzhou is located above jiulongquanjing and at the foot of mosingling, covering an area of more than 16000 square meters. Baiyun temple, built in the Song Dynasty, is one of the ancient temples with a long history in Guangzhou. Unfortunately, it was destroyed during the Anti Japanese war. In 1992, with the investment of the municipal Party committee, the municipal government and the Municipal People's Congress, a new stele forest was built in Guangzhou, which was opened to the outside world in 1994. "Stele forest in Guangzhou" is a brand new scenic spot, and also a gift from the municipal Party committee, the municipal government and the Municipal People's Congress.
structure
"Guangzhou stele forest" covers a total area of 16000 square meters, with nearly 300 stele inscriptions. It collects some poems and calligraphy masterpieces of famous scholars, modern poets and calligraphers who praise Lingnan scenery, Yangcheng and Baiyun Mountain. It integrates indoor steles, outdoor steles and cliff inscriptions into gardens and natural scenery, showing the splendid culture of the Chinese nation. It is divided into three scenic spots: Moyan stone carving area, Nanya hall and xianheixuan.
"Ode to Baiyun Mountain" is the largest stele in the forest of Steles, weighing about 4 tons. Its poetry was written by Huang Zuo of Ming Dynasty, written by Mr. Xu Xu Xu. Its main content describes the beautiful and pleasant scenery of Baiyun Mountain all year round. From this, we can see that Baiyun Mountain has been loved by scholars and poets throughout the ages, and it is also popular in Lingnan area.
Artistic features
In the relief of historical figures, there are 19 famous historical figures, all of which have an inseparable relationship with the history of Baiyun Mountain. The first figure is Zheng Anqi of Qin Dynasty, also known as Zheng Xian. It is said that he became an immortal in Baiyun Mountain, which leads to a special festival of Baiyun Mountain - "Aotou meeting". This festival continues to this day, every year on the second day of the seventh lunar month On the 15th, many Guangzhou citizens visited the "Yunyan" scenic spot of Baiyun Mountain to burn incense and pray in memory of Zheng Xian. Su Dongpo, one of the eight famous poets in the Tang and Song Dynasties, not only had great attainments in poetry, calligraphy and seal cutting, but also was incorruptible and compassionate. It is said that when he passed through Guangzhou and saw that Guangzhou citizens had difficulty in drinking water, he was criticized by Baiyun Mountain Inspired by the spring water, the spring water was introduced into the city with bamboo tubes. Therefore, there is a saying that Su Dongpo invented the oldest and primitive tap water. Nanya hall was first built in the Qing Dynasty by Zhang Weiping and other three talented scholars in the south of the five ridges at that time. It was used as a publishing house. Now we can see that Nanya hall is mainly built with indoor steles. Most of the poems in the hall are made by Xie Lingyun, Du Shenyan, Liu Yuxi, Han Yu, Li Shangyin and Su Shi. Here is Su Dongpo's "Pujian Temple", which describes the ancient trees in Pujian temple, with a hundred feet of flying waves. It was originally the place where Zheng Anqi, an immortal doctor, collected herbs. It is said that the first emperor of Qin sent people to Baiyun Mountain to ask Zheng Anqi to pick nine calamus for immortality. Su Shi wrote down this historical fact and satirized the stupidity of the Qin emperor. There is also Du Shenyan's Nanhai Luanshan, which is called Luanshan in ancient times. In the poem, the scenery of Baiyun Mountain is described as strange and treacherous: the mountains are full of rocks, different in size, "towering suddenly like flying, but still falling in the face of the next", the climate is different day and night, "the morning is red, red and purple, and the night is bright and green", which reminds us of the true appearance of Baiyun Mountain in those years.
Xianmoxuan collected the most ancient ink. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Lingnan poets formed associations in Baiyunshan, mainly including Nanyuan Poetry Association, Yueshan Poetry Association, hounanyuan Poetry Association, etc., gathering Liang Peilan, Chen Bangyan and other poets. Here is preserved Chen Xianzhang's inked poem "the post examination work". No matter what the content of the poem is, his cursive calligraphy alone makes people feel familiar with it. The style is vigorous and elegant, which Mao Zedong studied in his early years.
Kang Youwei's poem "riding to the top of the mountain" is particularly eye-catching. It describes himself riding on the mountain, no matter the red leaves are stained with clothes, the cold wind is swirling, the fog covers the mountain, and he is unwilling to go back. Dive down to heart, a careful look at the past, through the text, through the stele, feel the profound historical and cultural accumulation.
It is a good place to appreciate the history and culture of Lingnan and to exchange culture and art.
