Chen Tanqiu Memorial Hall
The memorial hall of martyr Chen Tanqiu was opened on September 27, 1983, the 40th anniversary of the martyr's death. Chen Yun inscribed the name of "martyr Chen Tanqiu Memorial Hall"; Ye Jianying inscribed: "in memory of martyr Chen Tanqiu, learn from his revolutionary spirit". In the memorial hall, "Comrade Chen Tanqiu's bedroom" has been restored, and "Comrade Chen Tanqiu's Wuhan revolutionary activity exhibition room" has been built. It is under the leadership of Wuhan cultural relics administration office and managed by the memorial hall of the former agricultural institute. The memorial hall was built in May 1983. Chen Yun inscribed its name. On September 27 of the same year, the memorial hall was officially established, and the old site and auxiliary display were opened.

Introduction to the memorial
At present, there is one restored display, that is, Chen Tanqiu's bedroom; two basic displays: Chen Tanqiu's revolutionary activities in Wuhan and the exhibition of the site of the Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China (the opening ceremony of the Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held here on April 27, 1927). The display area is 5 square meters. The cultural relics on display include scarves, tent hooks, Rattan Baskets and long sleeve T-shirts used by Chen Tanqiu.
Introduction to Chen Tanqiu
Chen Tanqiu (1896-1943) was born in Huanggang County, Hubei Province. In 1920, he participated in the organization of the Wuhan Communist group. In July 1921, he attended the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In 1923, he took part in and led the strike of Jinghan railway workers. After 1924, he successively served as secretary of the CPC Wuhan prefectural committee, member and organization Minister of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, organization Minister of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Secretary of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, propaganda minister of the CPC Shunzhi (now Hebei) Provincial Committee, Secretary of the CPC Manchuria Provincial Committee, and Secretary General of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee. In 1933, he went to the central revolutionary base and served as secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and commissar of the central workers' and peasants' democratic government. In 1935, he went to Shanghai to guide the work of the left wing League. Later, he went to study in the Soviet Union and took part in the work of the CPC delegation to the Communist International. In May 1939, he returned to China and served as the representative of the CPC in Xinjiang and director of the Xinjiang Office of the Eighth Route Army. He led the revolutionary struggle in Xinjiang with Mao Zemin and Lin Jilu. In September 1943, he was arrested by the reactionary rulers of Xinjiang and killed secretly on September 27.
