Among them, 180000 TEUs will be completed in December 2019, the highest in a single month, adding to the construction of Wuhan Yangtze River shipping center.
In 2019, Wuhan will accelerate the construction of Wuhan shipping center, deepen cooperation with leading domestic port and shipping enterprises, and Wuhan municipal government will sign a strategic cooperation framework agreement with COSCO Shipping Group to promote the construction of core port as a whole, and accelerate the construction of major projects such as the second phase of rail water intermodal transport.
Taking the 1140 container ship as a breakthrough, we will further promote the structural reform of the Yangtze River shipping supply side, and help maximize the benefits of the whole basin shipping. On November 28 last year, the first international container liner opened in Wuhan. The first liner started from Yangluo on November 28 and returned to Yangluo port on December 11, with a total voyage of 3150 nautical miles, lasting for 14 days. It took five days and 17 hours from Wuhan to Nagoya, Japan , which is 5 days shorter than the original transfer flight through Shanghai. At present, two 500 container class demonstration ships with near ocean direct shipping have been put into operation, and have been shipped to Wuhan for three times to Japan.

LCL export
On July 2, 2012, the reporter learned from Wuhan Xingang that Wuhan has become the first inland port to open LCL business. Small cargoes can be assembled in a container in Wuhan and declared for export directly.
It is reported that the minimum volume of a standard container is 25 to 30 cubic meters, and the maximum volume is 65 to 68 cubic meters. Many small export goods are packed in less than one container, so they choose to be combined with other goods for cost consideration.
Because Wuhan has not opened the LCL customs declaration business before, the goods of Wuhan port can only be transported to Shanghai by land, and then transferred from the local logistics center to the port. This time, the freight and storage charges for each ton of goods will be more than 500 yuan.
Now, Wuhan port has opened LCL customs declaration business, Wuhan port group and Shanghai assembly enterprise cooperation, began to undertake LCL business. After the goods are transported to Yangluo phase II wharf of Wuhan port, they are directly assembled and declared, and then directly transported to Shanghai. In the warehouse under the supervision of Shanghai port customs, customs officers will supervise the unpacking and reassemble the goods of different destinations into different containers. In this way, the freight per ton of goods can be reduced to about 200 yuan.
