Yuelao Pavilion, located in the southwest of Xiyin temple, is constructed according to the architectural style of Suzhou gardens.

The old man under the moon is the medium God (red happiness God) in Chinese folklore. The old moon pavilion was built according to this legend.

Introduction to scenic spots

Courtyard is a typical style of Jiangnan folk house. The left and right wing rooms can be used for both men and women to make up before wedding. The five houses in front are the place for the wedding ceremony. In the middle of the hall of Yuelao Pavilion is a jade carving of the old man under the moon. On the left and right sides are Qilin's son giving and Qilin's treasure offering. It is said that holding a marriage in the old moon Pavilion and allowing the old man under the moon to testify the marriage means that the marriage will be decided by heaven and the two sides will grow old together, symbolizing eternal happiness.
