Jiaoxizhou Hongsheng ancient temple
Hong Sheng Temple in Kau Sai Chau, also known as Hong Sheng Temple in Sai Kung, is a Hong Kong Hong Sheng Temple. It is located in Kau Sai Chau, Sai Kung District, new territories. Built in the Qing Dynasty, it has become a statutory historic site in Hong Kong and won the UNESCO Heritage Conservation Award.
history
According to the inscriptions, the temple was built in 1889 or earlier. Local residents hold large-scale celebrations in the open space in front of the temple every Christmas.
The temple was recently restored in 1999 to restore its original appearance. It was funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and completed the following year. The restoration project won the outstanding project award of UNESCO's "Asia Pacific Cultural Relics Protection Award 2000". On November 15, 2002, the temple was listed by amo as a statutory monument in Hong Kong.
Architecture
The Hongsheng ancient temple in jiaoxizhou is a building with two entrances and three bays, and its foyer is equipped with a middle wall. The main hall altar is dedicated to Hongsheng, Caibo Xingjun and Narcissus.

1. Transfer from exit C2 of Caihong station on Kwun Tong line to a 1A or 1m minibus to Sai Kung Hui (3-5 minutes, 15 minutes, 7.5 yuan).
2. Take the No.92 bus from the exit C2 of Diamond Hill Station of MTR tiaojingling line to Sai Kung terminus (40 minutes' drive, 5.5 yuan), then walk to the seaside and charter a boat at the wharf (known locally as Jiedu) to and from Kau Sai Chau.
3. On Sundays or holidays, you can take 96r bus from exit C2 of Diamond Hill Station of MTR tiaojingling line to bus terminus (65 minutes' drive, fare $15.6)
