Chuansha martyrs cemetery
Chuansha martyrs cemetery is located at 2629 Huaxia East Road, Chuansha town, Pudong New Area (east side of Chuansha Stadium). Completed in April 1956, the cemetery covers an area of 15318 square meters. It is an open and park style cemetery for martyrs in the new area.
Pines and cypresses are planted in the cemetery of Chuansha martyrs' cemetery, and a memorial tower is erected in the center, with the inscription "revolutionary martyrs will live forever". They buried 378 martyrs who died for their country during the first and second Civil Revolutionary War, the war of resistance against Japan and the war of liberation, and who died in defending the motherland and fighting against floods after liberation.
In addition, the exhibition area of the newly built martyrs memorial hall is 200 square meters. It introduces some martyrs who died in the great revolution, the war of resistance against Japan, the war of liberation, the war of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea, the war of self-defense and counterattack against Vietnam, and the socialist construction. It adopts modern scientific and technological means such as scene synthesis, slide projection, and scene transformation. The cemetery provides free space and help for people from all walks of life to visit, worship and hold various ceremonies.
