Introduction to the Museum
Hangzhou World Coin Museum is located in Hangzhou. Qinghefang is the most prosperous commercial district in Hangzhou. Most of the existing ancient buildings were built in the heyday of the Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty. It is the only well preserved old block in Hangzhou. Song Dynasty is known as "the former dynasty and the latter city". The former dynasty is the imperial city of Song Dynasty, and the latter city refers to the commercial district around Qinghefang. According to the Song Dynasty's nade Weng's capital Jisheng, on the prosperous commercial street of Lin'an, the capital at that time, " From the north of wujianlou to Guanxiang Yujie, most of the two lines are Shanghu, and there are only more than 100 shops with gold and silver notes. " It can be seen that gold and silver making and engaging in all kinds of money and tea trading and exchange transactions flourished at that time. In the Yuan Dynasty, Marco Polo, an Italian traveler, once visited Qinghefang. He called Hangzhou "the most beautiful and luxurious city in the world" and called the paper currency in circulation in China "the golden touch". During the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, most of the pawnshops, banks and banks in Hangzhou were concentrated in Qinghefang. Based on the long financial and cultural history of Qinghefang, Hangzhou World Coin Museum is located in Qinghefang. Its houses, patios and other buildings are all in the original pattern of the Qing Dynasty. It was officially opened at 178 Hefang Street, Hangzhou on September 18, 2001. The museum is a private museum approved by the relevant departments of Hangzhou Municipal People's government. The museum has more than 300 square meters of exhibition hall. The collection includes coins, banknotes, gold and silver commemorative coins from more than 200 countries and regions in the world.
Hangzhou World Coin Museum is the only private museum in China to collect, display and display coins at home and abroad. architectural composition
The exhibition of "modern Chinese gold and silver coins" on the first floor of the museum displays "commemorative coins of 5000 years of Chinese culture", "commemorative coins of outstanding Chinese historical figures" and "commemorative coins of rare Chinese wildlife" There are 12 series of more than 1100 kinds of gold and silver coins, including the gold commemorative coin of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the people's Bank of China and the silver commemorative coin of the International Year of children.

There are more than 30 special topics on display, such as "commemorative currency exhibition with Chinese theme issued by foreign governments", "foreign sample currency Exhibition", "Macao currency Exhibition", "Thai currency Exhibition", "scientists on currency", "places of interest on currency" and "environmental protection on currency".
Collection display
The first is to make clear the central content and reasonably choose the exhibition mode. It is clearly pointed out that the central content of museum display is to show the diversity of coins from all over the world, and the theme is to serve the economic development, that is to serve the reality. In the way of exhibition, the combination of fixed exhibition and temporary exhibition, itinerant exhibition and rotation exhibition, general exhibition and special exhibition are adopted. In addition to the normal exhibition of the museum, it also cooperated with major festivals or major economic activities of the government. It toured the exhibition in Lishui, Jiaxing, Ningbo and other cities, Zhejiang World Trade Center and Zhejiang Provincial Museum respectively, and held "welcoming Macao's return to the world coin Exhibition", "bank of China listing exchange foreign currency Exhibition", "China modern gold and silver coin Exhibition" and other special topics.
Second, the special exhibition should have personalized characteristics. The exhibits are the material basis of the exhibition. Facing tens of thousands of coins and pictures, the museum adopts the method of "compiling contents, determining topics, arranging positions and selecting treasures". During the exhibition in Ningbo, the special exhibition of "RMB anti-counterfeiting" was held mainly aiming at the characteristics of coastal cities and combining with the popularization of foreign currency anti-counterfeiting knowledge. During the exhibition in Jiaxing, a special exhibition on "basic knowledge of foreign currency in the world" was held mainly for college and secondary school students, enterprises and institutions before China's accession to the WTO. The exhibition lasted only 12 days in Jiaxing, with more than 22000 visitors.
Third, the display design should be closely related to the content and theme. On the eve of the euro issue, the Museum held the "euro and Bank of China Foreign Exchange Exhibition" at Zhejiang World Trade Center after obtaining the euro in kind from the relevant European central banks. In the museum, the objects, pictures, words, multimedia, etc. are used to display the project deliberately, in order to achieve the best display effect.
management model
First, with the help of the museum's functions of publicity, communication and research, we should tap the potential and generate income. Such as the binding of the world coin samples for sale. In 2004, he accepted the design and binding of commemorative coins for the 100th anniversary of Deng Xiaoping's birth from Chairman Mao Memorial Hall of the general office of the CPC Central Committee. Librarian Chu Wei participated in the pattern design of gold and silver coins of the people's Bank of China. His gold and silver coin patterns of "Dai Sheng bird", "a dream of Red Mansions" and "Millennium" have been approved by the people's Bank of China, and have been made into gold and silver coins, which have been issued at home and abroad. The 10kg gold coins produced by the pattern of "Millennium" have been recorded in the Guinness Book of 2000.
Second, the museum should set up a company and strive to make ends meet. It deals in ancient coins, silver ingots, silver dollars, banknotes and gold and silver commemorative coins issued by the people's Bank of China, and develops and designs commemorative medals, medals and various gifts made by enterprises and institutions in mint. All the money earned by Hangzhou quancoin Culture Co., Ltd. has been invested in the development of museums.
Third, accept donations and subsidies. Some large-scale special exhibitions are funded by relevant departments. The local government has also given some relief to the cost of museum housing. Internationally, the Museum of the Central Bank of Thailand, the Museum of the National Bank of Thailand and the mint provide coin materials and photographs free of charge. The Singapore Mint Set the museum's focal point for Chinese mainland to display and publicize products. Many overseas Chinese, such as Zou Guangtao of Indonesia, donated a complete set of banknotes in circulation in Indonesia in 1992 and 2000. All these provide favorable conditions for the development of Hangzhou World Coin Museum.
The curator Chu Jianguo invested all the money he had saved in his life to set up museums and collect collections. Among them, the Chinese coins include the extra large oval bronze coins of the state of Chu (6.5kg), various coin models of the Qin and Han Dynasties, Wang Mang Shibu, Daquan 500 and dangqianshu of the Three Kingdoms, silver ingots engraved in the Tang Dynasty, gold ingots with various inscriptions of the Song Dynasty; more than 20000 gold and silver commemorative coins issued by the people's Bank of China, circulating commemorative coins, paper money, etc.
There are banknotes in circulation in more than 200 countries and regions in the world, including all the foreign banknotes of 16 countries and regions listed by the people's Bank of China, the banknotes of countries that have withdrawn from circulation in the euro area, the emerging plastic banknotes of various countries, and more than 50 sets of gold and silver commemorative notes with Chinese themes issued by various countries. There are also gold, silver, copper and nickel commemorative coins in nearly 200 countries (regions) in history (including those that have disappeared); gold and silver coins made in early ancient Rome and Greece; Funan "hardware" gold and silver coins, Japanese and tongkai copper coins; coins and banknotes circulated in various countries during the first and second world wars; Yugoslavian banknotes with a face value of 500 billion dinars and German coins of 1 billion marks. There are not only paper banknotes, but also cotton, wood, cowhide, ivory, gold foil banknotes and other exotic banknotes from all over the world.
In addition to the normal display and annual visit of 90000 people, Hangzhou World Coin Museum also undertakes coin identification for banks, foreign-related institutions, people from all walks of life and audiences, with an annual visit of more than 7000 people. (Figure 2)
After China's accession to the WTO, it has gradually opened up its foreign exchange business. More and more people came to visit the museum to learn the knowledge of foreign currency recognition and identification of Bank of China and to provide practical information. In order to improve the level of foreign currency identification and identification of foreign currency handling personnel of professional banks and foreign-related institutions, the museum has compiled the book "foreign currency anti-counterfeiting knowledge" with the approval of the anti counterfeiting Department of the monetary gold and silver Department of the people's Bank of China. In just three years, more than 70000 copies of the book have been published, and 60000 people have been invited to teach in relevant colleges, financial systems and foreign-related institutions, and trained in the world currency anti-counterfeiting knowledge.
Since its establishment, the museum has been invited to participate in the
