Aberdeen Country Park
Aberdeen country park is located at the southern foot of Hong Kong Island, with Aberdeen and Wong Chuk Hang to the South and Wan Chai gorge to the north. It's suitable to hike or stroll in the park, especially in the spring, when the hillside is full of flowers and leaves, you can feel relaxed and happy. Aberdeen country park is surrounded by Aberdeen upper and lower reservoirs. The two reservoirs, which were completed in 1932, are the last on Hong Kong Island with a storage capacity of 12.5 million cubic meters.

Aberdeen Country Park (designated on October 28, 1977) is a country park in Aberdeen. It is very popular with local people and attracts some foreign tourists.
Aberdeen country park has a beautiful environment, which is suitable for hiking or strolling, especially in spring when the hillsides are full of flowers and green leaves. The shade that tourists enjoy today depends on postwar afforestation and the regeneration of a variety of broad-leaved trees. The more common ones are red gum wood, Schima superba, big head tea, duck foot wood and gangjiao.
The Aberdeen nature education trail is located in the east of Aberdeen water pond. Visitors can get a better understanding of the countryside through the message board on the education trail. The Aberdeen and Wong Chuk Hang sections of Hong Kong Island trail, about 14 km long, are suitable for hiking. They run from Baylor road in the west to Buli trail in the East. The country park provides a variety of recreational facilities suitable for different categories of people, including barbecue, Tai Chi platform, children's playground, tree study path and fitness path. There is also a wheelchair path for the disabled. The Aberdeen Country Park Visitor Centre has an enquiry service and displays interesting country park information.

Located at the southern foot of Hong Kong Island, the Aberdeen country park extends northward to Wan Chai gorge and southward to Aberdeen and Wong Chuk Hang, covering an area of about 423 hectares. It is one of the earliest country parks in Hong Kong.
The Aberdeen country park is surrounded by the Aberdeen reservoir, which is divided into the Aberdeen upper reservoir and the Aberdeen lower reservoir. Aberdeen upper reservoir is the last one built on Hong Kong Island. The total storage capacity of the two reservoirs is 12.5 million cubic meters.

From Aberdeen and Aberdeen, you can go through Aberdeen pond road, from Wong Nai Chung gap and Wan Chai gap by way of Buli path, and from the peak area and Aberdeen, you can go through Bailu road. If you take public transport, you can choose a bus or minibus to Shek Pai Wan.
