Located in the west of Yanping building, the memorial garden of martyr Li Lin is a memorial garden surrounded by emerald cypresses and colorful flowers. The garden was built in the spring of 1990. Martyr Li Lin was an overseas Chinese who graduated from Jimei Middle School. During the Anti Japanese War, she galloped inside and outside the great wall and killed the enemy bravely. She was only 24 years old when she died. She was praised as a national heroine by the CPC Central Committee. In order to publicize the deeds of martyr Li Lin, Hong Kong Alumni of Jimei Middle school donated money to build the Li Lin Garden, and set up the "martyr Li Lin Memorial Hall" at the bottom of Yanping building near the Li Lin Garden. In front of the memorial park is a rectangular monument with an inscription, which was inscribed by Comrade Bo Yibo in 1987. There is a statue of Li Lin holding a pistol, riding a horse and shooting in the rear.

Geographical environment and climate

Li Lin, born in Longxi County (Longhai City), Fujian Province, was born into a poor peasant family in 1915. When he was young, he was adopted by overseas Chinese and lived in Indonesia. The cruel rule of Dutch colonialists stimulated her strong national consciousness and rebellious spirit. After returning to China in 1929, he went to Jimei school in Xiamen. In the winter of 1933, he studied in Shanghai Patriotic women's middle school, actively participated in the students' anti Japanese and national salvation movement, and made a clandestine vow of "willing to fight in bloody clothes, not to be aggrieved by Japanese pirates". In the spring of 1936, he joined the Anti Japanese Youth League, a peripheral organization of the Communist Party of China. In the same year, he was admitted to the Department of political economy, Peking University of the Republic of China. In December, he joined the Communist Party of China. Then he went to Taiyuan to participate in the military and political training class of national normal school held by the Shanxi national salvation League, and served as the propaganda member of the special committee and the Party branch secretary of the women's 11th company. In front of the Memorial Park, there is a rectangular monument with an inscription: "martyr Li Lin, heroine of the women's middle school; die for the country, and live forever in the annals of history." This was written by Comrade Bo Yibo in 1987. There is a statue on the monument with a pistol in hand, riding a horse and shooting in the rear.

Historical evolution

The memorial hall of martyr Li Lin is located on the ground floor on the west side of Yanping building of Jimei Middle School. In May 1990, the Provincial Education Commission designated Li Linyuan and Li Linguan as the provincial moral education bases, and Jimei Middle School as the fourth camp of moral education summer camp for middle school students in Fujian Province. Since its opening up, Li Linyuan has organized various forms of patriotic education activities, and has received more than 40000 tourists from home and abroad, which has played a better role in the education of the base. Organize students to be volunteer tour guides and compile and print the commentary of volunteer tour guides in Jimei Middle School. The number of students participating in volunteer tour guide activities accounts for 3 / 4 of the total number of students in the school. She is the famous Anti Japanese national heroine, Indonesian returned overseas Chinese martyr Li Lin. Li Lin is a brave national hero. She was born in 1916 in a family of overseas Chinese businessmen. Her real name is xiuruo, also known as Xiaofeng. She was born in Minhou. When I was young, I went to Java, Indonesia with my father. I witnessed all kinds of crimes committed by imperialist invaders and formed a strong national consciousness from childhood. In 1929, at the age of 14, she returned to her motherland and studied in Jimei Middle School, Hangzhou middle school and Shanghai Patriotic girls middle school. She began to fight in the turbulent waves of the times and grow up in the national crisis. At that time, the Kuomintang government continued its reactionary policy of "pacifying the interior and resisting the outside world". The Japanese army was advancing step by step. The national humiliation and the suffering of the people made Li Lin, who loved the motherland and was strong and upright, feel extremely depressed in thought. When she was studying in Shanghai Patriotic girls middle school, she took an active part in the Anti Japanese and national salvation movement. In the spring of 1936, he joined the Anti Japanese Youth League, a peripheral organization of the Communist Party of China. Later, he went to Yanbei Anti Japanese front line with the Shanxi Suiyuan border region working committee to publicize and organize workers, peasants and students to participate in the Anti Japanese armed forces. In November, he served as the leader and political director of the eighth detachment of Yanbei Anti Japanese guerrillas. He led his troops to fight against the Japanese puppet army in the enemy's rear. He was brave, resolute, resourceful, and well directed, and won one after another. In April 1940, the Japanese and puppet forces concentrated 12000 troops to "clean up" the Shanxi Suiyuan border region. More than 500 people, including the special committee of the Jin Sui border region, organs of the 11th administrative Commissioner's office and mass organizations, were surrounded. In order to cover the organs and the masses to break through, she led the cavalry company to fight bravely, leading the Japanese and puppet troops away, but she was besieged on the shady top of xiaoguojia village. On the 26th, he fought bravely and killed six Japanese puppet soldiers after suffering multiple injuries in the leg and chest. After being surrounded by the Japanese puppet army, she would rather die than surrender. She shot her last shot into her throat and died heroically. At the time of his death, Li Lin was only 24 years old and still had a fetus of more than three months. The women's Committee of the CPC Central Committee sent a message of condolence, highly praising her heroic achievements, saying that she "is not only a shining model of our female Communist Party members, but also a heroine respected and loved by our countrymen."

The martyrs are majestic, and the old fortress of Yanping stands on the highest ground on the East Bank of Xunjiang river. Under the shade of banyan trees, I recall the achievements of two generations of heroes, listen to the sound of the Xunjiang River, overlook the surging white waves, thousands of sails competing for shuttle, fishing boats weaving, "Baozhu" and "huizai" islands floating on the water. Hutou mountain confronts with each other across the river, the long dike is like a dragon, the bridge is like a dragon, the cars are flying fast, and the silver swallow of Xiamen International Airport is flying in the air. How can we not let people sing a song: Ancient China, picturesque rivers and mountains, heroes come forth in large numbers, great and magnificent!
