According to the records of Huanggang County, the temple, formerly known as Dongyu temple, was built during the period from Qiandao to Chunxi in the Southern Song Dynasty (1165-1189), and was destroyed by Xu Shouhui's soldiers at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. From the end of the Ming Dynasty to the second year of Wanli (1574), the 53 surnames in the area where Jiujie belonged were used to raise funds for reconstruction, which was named Qingfu temple, also known as "dongyuxing Temple", commonly known as wusangong temple. In 1777, a theater was built. The temple was destroyed in 1853 and rebuilt in 1880.

Organizational system

The temple is divided into nine buildings in three rows: in the middle row, the upper one is the Zen hall, on which there is the goddess tower; in the middle one is the Five Sacred Mountains hall, and his Highness has a two meter high-speed iron tree; in the lower one is the Dagong court hall, with a red bell hanging on the left. The upper building in the east row is Wenchang official, and the lower one is Kuixing building; the middle one is the temple of wealth, and the lower one is divided into East and West; the upper one in the West row is Daxiong hall, with three shrines of Buddha, Guanyin and dizangwang; the middle one has Weituo shrine; the lower one is the site of Guangdi hall, which was not built after being destroyed, and served as the garden base.
