Architectural features

Founded in 1916, Bund No. 3, formerly known as British advantageous bank, is the first all steel structure building in Shanghai. In 2004, Michael Graves, the world's leading architect, rebuilt the historic building as the Bund No. 3. This pioneering renovation not only retains the former glory of the building, but also radiates the gorgeous charm of Shanghai in the 1930s and becomes a fashionable landmark of modern Chinese lifestyle.

Hushen gallery is the soul of Bund No.3. As the center of the whole building, the 35 meter high court runs through the whole building. No matter where you are, you can see its strong artistic and cultural atmosphere. Through the exhibition of Chinese and foreign contemporary art, Hushen Gallery explores the deep appreciation of modern Chinese art. There are not only painting exhibition, sculpture exhibition, photography exhibition, but also installation art exhibition and multimedia art exhibition.

The Jean Georges French restaurant in Shanghai is the only restaurant named after the Michelin 3-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten outside New York. The restaurant is full of brilliant details of French romantic style, and reflects Shanghai's Centennial glory and current prosperity in the field of vision. Covering an area of 1500 square meters, the restaurant can accommodate 200 guests and has two private rooms. The elegant environment brings modern French cuisine to the extreme. Since its opening in 2004, Jean Georges has become a model of high-end catering in Shanghai with its exquisite seasonal menu, rich wine list and excellent service.

In 2008, as an extension of Mr. vongerichten's representative works, nougatine landed in Shanghai as an upscale leisure restaurant. The dining room is unique in that it is surrounded by a unique bar covered with Giallo reale ochre. Here, you can choose a variety of drinks and exclusive cocktails. In a relaxed, fashionable and elegant environment, guests can also enjoy delicious pizzas and JG classic hamburgers.

Huangpu will take Chinese food to a new height. Mr. Chen Youjian, a well-known Hong Kong architect, made it himself. Its strong decorative style and artistic interior decoration reproduce the gorgeous style of old Shanghai. With 200 seats and five luxurious private rooms, the classic Shanghai cuisine and Chinese cuisine make the modern sense vivid. With delicious food, there is also exquisite wine list and top tea from China.

Designed by Lyndon Neri, who once designed the Bund No.3 project, Beijing Huangpu club is the embodiment of the classic Beijing siheyuan, sitting on the West Flower court of Financial Street. Like its flagship store in Shanghai, Beijing Huangpu club is committed to combining the characteristics of local traditional cuisine with innovative northern Chinese cuisine and Cantonese seafood. The newly unveiled Huangpu Huibei garden has two private VIP boxes with northern courtyard style, each with its exclusive entrance, VIP rest area, dressing room, and connected with the elegant outdoor garden.

In midsummer 2012, mercato will be the first Italian concept restaurant to be launched on Bund 3. The menu is designed by Michelin 3-star chef Jean Georges vongericheten. The quality and fresh taste pursued by Italian market will be displayed incisively and vividly here. Dishes will focus on coastal Italian cuisine, such as seafood and handmade spaghetti. The design of the restaurant is meticulously created by the design and Research Laboratory of ruen. In order to create a simple and warm restaurant atmosphere, the 240 seat space is made of brick, wood, leather and other elements.

Also unveiling the mystery in the mid summer of 2012 are: Unico, lounge with Latin spirit, tapas with modern characteristics, amazing cocktails and ecstatic music, all of which are carefully arranged by artistic director Marcelo Joulia integrating contemporary Latin culture; colagraco high-end restaurant, by 35 year old Michelin two star chef Mauro Colagreco provides us with the most exquisite and rich cuisine, and his rich travel experience also brings us the international delicious tour. The 160 seat lounge and 120 seat restaurant are designed by Nassau architectural design firm, which will undoubtedly become the most eye-catching high-end cross-cultural platform in China.

New perspective restaurant is located on the top floor of Bund No.3, offering a variety of European and Southeast Asian cuisines. Its bright and refreshing terrace offers a breathtaking view of the coastline of Shanghai. The unique open-air balcony is a perfect place for people to enjoy the sunshine or the stars. You can't miss the cheerful atmosphere, the cordial service and the new perspective restaurant which can accommodate 180 people, whether it's a relaxing gathering with friends, a refreshing cocktail or a relaxing afternoon tea.

In 2010, Shanghai's most dazzling and bustling Bund has recently ushered in a new favorite of wine, the "how" red wine bar, which is located on the top floor of No. 3 Bund, a famous historic building, is on the stage.
