Martyrs Park
Changsha Martyrs Park is the largest urban park in Changsha. The park is divided into three parts: Memorial area, sightseeing area and entertainment area.
Martyrs Park was built in 1951 and officially opened in May 1953. The martyr tower was built in 1959. During this period, various pavilions and pavilions, lakes and waterside pavilions were built in the park, and Hunan folk villages were built to gather the scenic spots of various minority villages in our province. Martyrs Park is changing with each passing day, especially after upgrading in 2015, the quality of the park has been improved, which has become a cultural landmark of Changsha urban landscape
Changsha Martyrs Park is located on the Bank of Liuyang River in the northeast of Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is also known as Hunan Martyrs Park, with a total area of 153.3 hectares. Lakes are built in depressions and islands are built in lakes. The park consists of two parts: Memorial area and sightseeing area. Brief introduction of Martyrs Park
Martyrs Park is the largest comprehensive park integrating Memorial, sightseeing and entertainment in the province. It is located in the northeast of Changsha City. According to its natural terrain, trees are planted on the mountains to create gardens, lakes are built in depressions to build pavilions. The park has green trees, green grass and beautiful flowers all year round.
The memorial area is centered on the martyrs tower built in 1958. Surrounded by black pine of Nanyue, Cedrus of Himalayas, jinqiansong of Nanjing and luohansong of Changsha, the tower is surrounded by clumps of green, which makes it more solemn and majestic.
The scenic area is open, with natural hills and gullies, artificially decorated bridges and pavilions, secluded paths, fragrant lotus and weeping willows. With an area of 46.6 hectares, Nianjia lake is unique in beauty. It has a vast surface, vast expanse, bright water, sunny and rainy days. A zigzag arched stone bridge leads to the island in the middle of the lake. The island is covered with willows. There is a three arch bridge in the island. It looks like the clouds are high and the water is wide. It is very interesting. There are yachts on the lake for boating.

Scenery in the park
In the park, the trees are green and the grass is green all the year round; the forest in the tourist area is verdant, the winding roads are quiet, and the Nianjia Lake in the park is even more popular with tourists. Stroll the bridge corridor on the lake, take a boat around the island in the middle of the lake, enjoy the scenery of the lake and the mountains, and enjoy the elegance of nature. In the northeast corner of the park, Hunan folk village has been built, covering an area of 5 hectares, with mountains and rivers, ravines and waterfalls. There are six villages of Tujia, Miao, Dong, Yao, Bai and Han nationalities in the jungle. The charming scenery, exquisite architecture and peculiar customs bring visitors into a simple and magical situation.
There are various pavilions, lakes and waterside pavilions in the park. More famous are: Fuxiang art garden, nianjiahu, zhaohuilou, xianxianguan, qingshanqiao, children's playground. The newly-built Hunan Folk Village gathers the scenic spots of Tujia, Miao, Dong, Yao, Bai and other ethnic minorities in Hunan Province, with exquisite architecture, charming scenery and peculiar scenery.
The northeast corner of the park is the Nianjia Lake tourist area. The first thing that catches the eyes of tourists is the 245.5-meter-long wood like structure built between Huanhu road and Huxin Island, and the Yingfeng bridge with the style of ancient Huxiang culture. In the middle of the bridge, the low hurdles and high corridors are zigzag, and the rest pavilions are built at both ends of the bridge. The pavilions, pavilions and waterside boats complement the lake. Nianjia lake has a wide area of 48.62 hectares. There are boats for tourists to rent. An arched stone bridge on the lake leads to the island in the middle of the lake, just like a rainbow lying in waves. Huzhong Island, also known as Xiaoyang Island, is planted with palm, willow and other ornamental trees and shrubs. The Bilang tower on the yellow tile and white fence on the lake is a bridge pavilion with double eaves. You can have a panoramic view of the lake from the bridge.
On the Avenue on the left side of the west gate of the park, the beautiful, slim and elegant Han white jade carving "Lotus girl" stands in the scenery of lakes and mountains, telling the simple and heavy classical beauty of Changsha, a famous cultural and historical city.
The southeast of the park is an entertainment area, with a variety of modern entertainment facilities. Every spring and autumn, a variety of Flower Bonsai exhibitions or painting and calligraphy exhibitions are held in xiangyiyuan park. In the park, there are also Hunan folk villages with strong customs, including Tujia, Miao, Dong, Yao, Bai and Han ethnic villages. The Martyrs Park has theme activities every festival. It has become an important cultural and entertainment place for Hunan people and Changsha people, as well as a good place for morning exercises and meeting friends. There are many buses in the city to reach the three gates of the Martyrs Park in the East, South and West.
Introduction to the memorial area
Among the pines and cypresses in the memorial area stands the 58.7-meter-high martyrs memorial tower, which is engraved with the inscription "Hunan Martyrs Monument" written by Mao Zedong. The memorial hall displays a list of more than 100000 martyrs and the remains of more than 90 martyrs. The garden holds flower exhibitions every year. The flowers are gorgeous and beautiful. It has modern facilities such as amusement park, Fuxiang art garden and other cultural places. Zhaohui building and Xianxian hall provide delicious food for tourists.
There is a martyr memorial tower on the hill in the southwest of the park. The tower is 58.7 meters high, and the south side of the tower is engraved with nine characters of "memorial of Hunan Martyrs Park" mentioned by Mao Zedong. Inside the tower is the memorial hall of the martyrs, displaying the photos and life stories of the famous martyrs in Hunan Province in the past 100 years. The hall is solemn, surrounded by green pines and cypresses.
It is the symbol of the park. If you enter from the South Gate of the park on Yingpan East Road, you can see the vigorous and luxuriant dragon cypresses on both sides of the passage. You can walk around the flower beds and up the stone steps to the memorial square. In front of you is the 58.7-meter-high martyr memorial tower. The memorial tower faces south from the north, with a stone structure, consisting of upper tower and lower hall
form. The upper part is a 38.6-meter-high memorial tower with an octagonal green glazed top. The south facing white marble facing stele of the tower is engraved with nine characters of "memorial of Hunan Martyrs Park" inscribed by Mao Zedong. The lower part of the tower is the memorial hall for the martyrs. There is a memorial platform in front of the memorial hall and a memorial hall behind it. The left and right sides of the memorial hall are exhibition halls. According to the "old democratic revolution period", "new democratic revolution period" and "socialist revolution and construction period", the names of more than 76000 martyrs in the whole province are displayed, including Tan Sitong, Huang Xing, Xiang Jingyu, Cai Hesen and Xia Jingyu The photos, resumes and some relics of more than 90 martyrs, such as Minghan, Guo Liang and Lei Feng, are here. All have deep respect. Every year, many people come to pay homage to the Tomb Sweeping Day.
The memorial area is in the west, from the south gate. The Dragon cypresses on both sides of the long corridor are vigorous and luxuriant, and the back screen is hung to welcome the spring. Passing the flower bed, the memorial square is up along the stone steps. The cedar is lined up with green grass. On the mound, there is the memorial tower of Hunan Martyrs Park. The tower was built in 1959, and the tower hall is one. The upper part is the memorial tower, 38.6 meters high, with an octagonal plane. The tower body faces south to the front It is embedded in the heart of the stone tablet of Qiyang; the lower part is the memorial hall, which has an unequal plane and an octagonal shape. It goes out of the Baoxia building, with niches at the four corners of the hall and a memorial hall at the back. The inscription: "the Hunan people's heroes and martyrs who have made glorious sacrifices for the cause of Chinese people's Liberation in the past 100 years, especially in the past 30 years, will never die." The top of the hall is a bucket arch and a caisson.

1、 Lake Island
Huzhong island is located in the middle of Nianjia lake, also known as Xiaoyang island. It was built in 1963. It is composed of big island, isolated island, half lake island and new island, with a total area of nearly 2 hectares. It is the main scenic spot in the lake area.
The island in the middle of the lake is far away from the martyrs memorial tower. The island is mainly planted with red leaf trees, which symbolizes the revolutionary martyrs' devotion to the people. In addition, the island is also planted with palm, weeping willow and other landscape trees and flowering shrubs, reflecting the scenery of spring, summer, autumn and winter.
2、 Red Army ferry
In July 1930, Peng Dehuai led the third Red Army to attack Changsha, defeated more than 30000 enemy troops with 8000 men, and captured Changsha on July 27. Some soldiers of the third Red Army Corps crossed the Liuyang River from Huji to Changsha. After the Martyrs Park was built, hujidu was included in the park, and the place was renamed Hongjun Du. In 1987, a Shanting and a stone tablet were built, on which the word "Hongjun Du" was engraved to commemorate the park. There is an ancient ginkgo tree in the ferry. It is a witness of the transition of the Red Army.
3、 Yingfeng Bridge
Yingfeng bridge connects the lake island and the embankment. It was built in September 1982. It was designed by Changsha planning and Design Institute and constructed by Changsha garden construction team, Changsha Beishan construction team and Wangcheng West Lake stone construction team. The length of the bridge is 254.5 meters. The bridge is of imitation wood structure, built according to the form of corridor bridge in the mountainous area of Western Hunan. The middle and low hurdles and high corridors of the bridge are zigzag and have an ancient Hunan local style. A pavilion is built at each end of the bridge for visitors to rest and enjoy the park scenery.
Introduction to entertainment district
