Shengang Township

Shengang township is located in the northwest of Changhua County, Taiwan. It is adjacent to the Taiwan Strait in the west, Dadu River in the north, Hemei town in the East, and Xianxi Township in the south. It is a windy place with rich agricultural and fishery products, which is called "land of fish and rice".

history

During the Japanese occupation period, it belonged to xianxizhuang, Changhua County, Taichung Prefecture. After the war, it was changed to xianxixiang. On July 1, 1950, it was divided from xianxixiang and named Xingang township. However, because of the same name as Xingang Township in Jiayi County, it was easy to confuse the people and the government. Therefore, the government invited the two places to communicate and coordinate, and carried out a lot drawing. As a result, it was officially renamed as Shengang Township on July 1, 1959 It is the same as the old name, and is still used today.
