Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition

The 2016 Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition, with a level of A2 + B1 and a duration of 6 months (April 29 to October 16, 2016), is sponsored by the State Forestry Administration, China Council for the promotion of international trade, China Flower Association and Hebei provincial government, and undertaken by Tangshan Municipal government. With the theme of "city and nature · Phoenix Nirvana" and the concept of "fashion gardening, green environmental protection, low-carbon life, harmonious coexistence of city and nature", Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute is responsible for the planning, which is divided into two parts: core area and experience area. The overall planning area is 19.7 square kilometers, and 51 key projects are implemented. The core area covers an area of 5.4 square kilometers, including 1.43 square kilometers of water surface. The overall spatial layout is "one axis, eight gardens", with "one axis" as the main landscape area. From north to south, the main gate area, exhibition center, Danfeng Chaoyang Square, water screen film, qilongshan, Huahai, low-carbon life hall and other landscape nodes are arranged in turn; "eight gardens" are three main parts of domestic garden, international garden and designer garden Exhibition garden and botanical garden, industrial creative garden, low carbon life garden, youth Expo Garden and other special exhibition gardens. It is planned to build 9 entrances and exits, 17 service areas and 4 main pavilions including the Expo command center, comprehensive exhibition center, low-carbon life hall and tropical plant hall. The experience area is located in the south of the core area, covering an area of 14.3 square kilometers. It mainly focuses on serving the Expo and implements a number of tourism, leisure and sightseeing projects.

Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition

At 9:00 on October 6, 2010, at the 62nd annual meeting of the International Horticultural Producers Association held in Shuntian City, South Korea, Tangshan City, Hebei Province won the right to host the 2016 World Horticultural Exposition. Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition is the first World Horticultural Exposition to use coal mining subsidence land to hold without occupying a cent of arable land.

Holding the world horticultural exposition can show the world the achievements of Tangshan earthquake reconstruction and ecological restoration, and show the determination of Tangshan people to protect the environment, restore the ecology, and realize the transformation and sustainable development of resource-based cities.

Two regional layout

The overall layout of the core area is "one axis and eight gardens", with "one axis" as the main landscape axis, and "eight gardens" as domestic garden, international garden, designer garden, low-carbon life garden, youth Expo Garden, ecological science and education garden, industrial creative garden and special botanical garden.

The experience area is located on the south side of tangxu road. Combined with the needs of ecological industry and tourism services, the "two horizontal and three vertical" transportation framework is planned to form four functional areas: Wetland experience, agricultural tourism, forest recreation and green space movement. In addition, supporting facilities such as the Grand Theater, mass art museum, library and archives were built outside the venue. The main buildings of the venue are planned and constructed according to the concept of "exhibition during the meeting and operation after the meeting", which fundamentally solves the problems of the follow-up utilization of the venues, exhibition halls and exhibition gardens.

The theme of 2016 Tangshan World Horticultural Expo is "city and nature · Phoenix Nirvana", which means: Fashion horticulture, green environmental protection, low-carbon life; harmonious coexistence of city and nature. Ten countries and regions will participate in the exhibition, and the audience is expected to reach more than 15 million.

The world horticultural exposition is an international horticultural exhibition approved by the international horticultural flower industry organization, the International Horticultural Producers Association. It has a good reputation as the "Olympic" event in the world horticultural industry. As of 2010, the Expo has been held more than 20 times.

Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition will start trial operation on March 10.

The trial operation test time is from 9:00 to 17:00 on March 10 (stop entering the park at 16:30). The core area of the Expo site is 540 hectares, with 6 tourist routes and 5 guest routes. In addition to the comprehensive exhibition center, domestic garden, international garden, designer garden, Longge and other projects (under exhibition and landscape greening), other world horticultural exposition venues and exhibition gardens are in trial operation (excluding international flower competition and flower exhibition competition). On the day of trial operation, the total number of tourists is 20000, and no less than 10 batches of guests are arranged

Project schedule

The preparatory work for the trial operation of the world park is moving forward in an orderly way. In terms of ticketing, the construction of ticket halls in six districts has been completed, 118 gates have been set up, the internal facilities will be in place before March 10, the ticket samples have been approved by the municipal government, ticket printing is being organized, and 30000 test tickets will be printed before March 5. In terms of transportation and logistics, the "double ring" battery car operation route and station design have been completed, 15 battery car parking stations have been installed in place; 11 ticket offices and 104 charging piles will be in place by the end of February; 260 battery cars have arrived, 126, and the rest will be in place by the end of February. In addition, there are 1 tourist service center, 2 business reception centers and 9 tourist homes in the park. The indoor layout is in progress and will be completed before March 5. In terms of park management, signs, seats, garbage disposal and other public service facilities are being installed, and the sign system will be completed before March 10. At the same time, the management of the exhibition hall has completed the design of the tour route map and the installation of the guide signs of the botanical hall and the low-carbon hall. The electronic screen, monitoring and other infrastructure of the command center have been installed in place. Other kinds of operation facilities are also being improved. The trial operation conditions will be ready before March 10.

Learning and reference

On the basis of learning from Xi'an World Horticultural Exposition, Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition, Shanghai World Expo and Beijing World Horticultural Exposition, Tangshan City has determined that the main purpose of this trial operation is to test the command system, train the support team and improve the operation ability. In the meantime, it will focus on testing 360 specific tasks in 8 categories of "traffic organization, visit service, exhibition management, comprehensive guarantee, operation command, security, activity management and news publicity" of the Expo. With a practical attitude, it will seriously test the operation preparation, train and run in the team, find out the existing problems and shortcomings, and comprehensively improve the operation management level, so as to ensure the safety of the Expo It will lay a solid foundation for a full, smooth and wonderful event. In addition, during the trial operation period, the Municipal Public Security Bureau will invest 1178 police forces in public security, traffic police and fire fighting to participate in the park and traffic security work to ensure the smooth trial operation.

On September 22, 2015, the Organizing Committee of Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition released the emblem and mascot design of Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition, with the emblem of "youfenglaiyi" and the mascot of "fenghuanghuaxianzi". Tangshan is known as the "Phoenix City" by the world. The emblem and mascot choose the image of Phoenix, which expresses the beautiful meaning of "when the times are prosperous, there will be a phoenix".

Organization

The 2016 Tangshan World Horticultural Expo is hosted by the Ministry of foreign affairs, Ministry of Commerce, State Forestry Administration, China Council for the promotion of international trade, China Flower Association and Hebei provincial government, and undertaken by Tangshan Municipal government. It will be held in Nanhu, Tangshan from May to October 2016. The site covers an area of 506 hectares.

Record of bidding

In December 2008, the people's Government of Tangshan city formally submitted to the China Flower Association the request for instructions on holding the 2016 World Horticultural Exposition (A2 + B1 category), because 2016 coincided with the 40th anniversary of the earthquake in Tangshan, when holding the World Horticultural Exposition was of far-reaching significance. However, the request for instructions did not immediately get the approval of the China Flower Association. They believed that the cities that successfully held the World Horticultural Exposition in China in the past were some provincial capitals or vice provincial cities with high reputation and better ecology. In contrast, Tangshan, as a heavy chemical industrial city rebuilt after the earthquake, has imperfect infrastructure construction, and the flower industry is not well-known in the whole country The overall environment is not suitable. If you want to hold such a large-scale horticultural exposition, I'm afraid it's hard to bear the burden.

Seeing is believing. On August 5, 2009, President Jiang Zehui of China Flower Association came to Tang for inspection; on November 11, 2009, Mr. fabo, President of International Horticultural Producers Association, came to Tang to guide the bidding work. They were deeply moved by the achievements of Tangshan's promotion of ecological city construction and the meticulous bidding work. Fabo made a statement in front of the Earthquake Memorial Wall: we must make Tangshan's bidding successful, or we will be sorry for the earthquake victims 240000 dead. In July 2010, Mr. Faber led the investigation team to visit Tangshan again and highly appraised the preparation for the bid, believing that Tangshan has the conditions and ability to host the 2016 World Horticultural Expo.

The important task of Nanhu

The site of the 2016 World Horticultural Exposition is Nanhu eco city with a planning area of 105 square kilometers. It was once a coal mining subsidence area formed by more than 100 years of mining in Kailuan mine. In the past, sewage flowed across the river and garbage was like a mountain. In 2008, Tangshan Municipal Party committee and government made the decision to develop Nanhu. After more than two years of construction and transformation, the former abandoned land has now become a comprehensive functional area integrating government affairs, leisure, sports and sightseeing, which is a landmark project of Tangshan ecological environment construction. Taking Nanhu eco city as the site of the world horticultural exposition is not only a demonstration of farmland protection and ecological restoration, but also a model of ecological restoration in coal mining subsidence area.
