Langjiling temple, Gongga

Langjiling temple in Gongga is the largest yellow religion temple in Daocheng County, and changqingke temple in Litang is a temple. It is named after Nianqing gonggari songgong holy mountain. Langjiling temple in Gongga has magnificent buildings and exquisite murals. There is a bronze statue of Maitreya given by the fifth Dalai Lama in the temple, which is a precious cultural relic.

Detailed explanation

Gongga langjiling Temple (Gongling temple for short) means "xuezhou" in Tibetan. In the early Ming Dynasty, jiabukangzhuluorong founded the temple. At that time, the temple covered an area of more than 500 mu and had more than 300 monks. After the Fengquan incident in 1905, Zhao Erfeng led the troops to destroy the temple, burned it down, and then restored it. In the "Cultural Revolution", Gongling temple was seriously damaged. Restoration began in 1984. On September 30, 1984, the tenth Panchen Lama carried out Buddhist activities (chanting sutras and touching the top) in the temple. There are more than 300 monks

Langjiling temple in Gongga is not big. Two slightly higher buildings are located in the northwest of the temple. There are two rows of low bungalows in the southeast. They are the kitchen and sundry room in the temple, as well as the living room of monks.
