E Huang Zhang

Ehuangzhang is located at the junction of Yangxi County, Yangchun City and Dianbai District, 60 km southwest of Yangchun City, Guangdong Province, the peak of Bajia mountain in the south of Bajia Town, and the northeast of Luokeng reservoir in Dianbai County.

At 1337 meters above sea level, Ehuangzhang is the first peak of Yangjiang, known as the "roof of Yangjiang", and the second peak of western Guangdong.

Safety tips

Climbing Ehuangzhang is a long-time physical work, which is a test for people and cars. Before starting, you need to plan the route and time, check the vehicles, and prepare enough food and water. If you want to camp in the mountains, you should do a good job in keeping warm and cold, bring all the things, and choose the right place. Some mountain roads are rugged and bumpy. If you want to drive up the mountain, you should choose an off-road vehicle with better performance; some mountain roads are relatively flat, but they are full of sand and stones. You should slow down when you go down the mountain.

Traffic information

Self driving: due to the complicated itinerary, it is not recommended to take long-distance bus. It takes about three hours to drive on the highway. Take Guangfo Expressway, Fokai Expressway to Kaiyang, then Yangmao Expressway to Yangyang Expressway to Yangchun, then take the expressway to S113 at the west exit of Yangchun, and then pass Mashui town and Tanshui town to Bajia town (the whole provincial road). As soon as you get to Bajia Town, pay attention to the left side of xianjiadong reservoir and Ehuangzhang road sign. It takes about 20 minutes (cement road) to get to xianjiadong reservoir (parking place).

Baishui waterfall is located in Jiujie River Protection Station of Ehuang Zhang, Bajia Town, Yangchun City. It is the most spectacular Waterscape in Ehuang Zhang, with a drop of 225 meters. Counting from the top to the bottom, it just overlaps 13 times. One by one, there are layers of water spray and one layer of white fog. The white fog turns into light rain, and flies down with the water spray, scattering all over the puddle. At this time, the waterfall is like a brilliant jade tree, the water column is like a tree pole, and the thirteen layer water flower is just silver flower. The sunlight and silver flower are crystal clear.

Wufu waterfall

Wufu waterfall is the sister of Baishui waterfall. It is located at bajiaxianjiadong protection station in Ehuangzhang. It is more than 150 meters high and 10 meters wide. Its flow is more than twice that of Baishui waterfall. There is no water source at the top of the waterfall. The waterfall suddenly rushes out from the peak depression between the two peaks, just like a giant dragon heading straight down the stone wall, falling into a deep pool tens of meters wide. The sound of the water is like thunder Ears, water drops, colorful in the sun. There is no accumulation of blood and dust. It is clear and transparent. After drinking a few mouthfuls, you feel a little sweet and feel thirsty.

Yaochi Lake

Yaochi Xianhu is located in a mountain nest of xianjiadong protection station in Bajia town of Yangchun in Ehuangzhang. It is the largest reservoir in western Guangdong xianjiadong reservoir, covering an area of 160000 square meters. The famous master Guan Shanyue visited here and inscribed "Xianhu".

Located in the hinterland of Bajia mountain, Ehuangzhang is the second highest mountain in western Guangdong with an altitude of 1337.6 meters. In recent years, through the comprehensive investigation of South China Institute of Botany and South China Institute of endangered animals, 36 species of rare plants have been found, such as Dracaena, huyanhua, etc. It is a boundary mountain between Dianbai and Yangchun, and an undeveloped original ecological tourist attraction.

Located in the northern edge of the tropics, Ehuangzhang has a mountain rain forest with an area of about 15000 hectares and a record rainfall of more than 5000 mm. It is the first rainfall center in Guangdong Province with well preserved vegetation. It is the only mountain rain forest recorded in Guangdong mainland and the largest and most complete Oasis in the southwest coast of Guangdong Province.

Ehuangzhang has dense forests, large and small reservoirs, green mountains and waters, fresh air, birds singing and flowers fragrant everywhere, and many waterfalls with beautiful scenery. 22 species of rare and endangered plants have been found in Ehuangzhang nature reserve, of which 11 are endemic to China, and 4 genera of huyanhua, zhuxuemu, yuanzihe and Hydrangea Rubia are endemic to Yangchun City. Experts believe that Ehuangzhang is rich in endemic genera and species, which are no better in Guangdong nature reserve than in the whole country.

Ehuang mountain is vast and towering. Its stone is very black and its water is very clear. Walking in it is like shuttling through the clouds. Reference travel

D1: set out from Guangzhou, and set up camp in Shaba Bay, Shaba Town, Yangxi three hours later;

D2: Shaba Bay goes through the deserted Yueliang Bay (about 1 hour) and turns back to the original road; drive to Ehuangzhang xianjiadong reservoir and set up camp;

D3: back to Guangzhou.

It may be exaggerating to say that it is the "Maldives" of China, but I think it is quite good in Guangdong! There are not many people here. The sea view is very good! I like the coast here most. The waves are not big and the sand is very fine. Playing ball and water here will not make me tired for long. If you feel bored, you can climb back to Moon Bay. Moon Bay is easy to climb. It will be here in a moment. Separated by mountains, Moon Bay is more primitive and uninhabited. You can swim here! In the evening, it is suggested to tie the camp near the seaside stalls (it's better to tell the boss in advance), and by the way, you can have a big seafood meal! It's a long way from Shaba bay to Ehuang mountain. It's about an hour's drive. You can go directly to xianjiadong reservoir and camp next to it. It can satisfy any water sports you want. That's why I suggest staying one more night.

When you get up the next morning, you can put your luggage in place and then go through. In the mountains of western Guangdong, Ehuangzhang is an outstanding one. The beauty of the mountain goes without saying that the complex road conditions can make people experience the pleasure of crossing. There are sand and stone roads, gravel roads, and undeveloped paths.

Food: it's very convenient to eat in Shaba Bay. The restaurant is on the beach. The seafood is flat and beautiful. Barbecue at night is 25 yuan per person. In addition, you can go to the fish raft to buy seafood or just return to the fishing boat to buy fish, and then take it to the restaurant for processing. E Huang Zhang is far away from the town, so it is mostly a picnic. You can also eat in Bajia town. There are restaurants around xianjiadong reservoir. I like them.

D1: set out at 18:30, and arrive at Ehuangzhang reservoir before 12:00 p.m. to camp beside the waterfall, take a bath in the waterfall and have a snack.

D2: watch the sunrise in the morning, or sleep in. 8: 30 breakfast, 10:00 starting to trace the river to find the waterfall, swimming, water. Lunch, dry food, coffee (milk tea). Back to camp at 3:00 p.m., rowing, playing games. 18: 30 dinner, 20:00 bonfire party.
