The origin of the predecessor

Sichuan Construction Engineering School

In 1956, Chengdu urban construction engineering school was established.

In 1957, the cadre training course of Sichuan Provincial Construction Bureau (established in 1953) was incorporated into Sichuan Provincial Construction Bureau.

In 1958, Chengdu urban construction engineering school was renamed Chengdu Construction Engineering School

In 1959, the cadre school of Sichuan Provincial Department of construction (formerly the comprehensive Cadre School of Southwest Construction Engineering Administration Bureau established in 1953) was incorporated.

In April 1961, Chengdu Institute of Architectural Engineering (formerly Chengdu amateur Institute of architectural engineering established in 1956) was merged; in July 1961, Chengdu industrial equipment installation school (established in 1958) and Jiangyou building materials industry school (established in 1958) were merged.

In 1962, the school was abolished.

In April 1964, the school resumed preparation and was named Deyang Vocational School of Southwest Construction Engineering Administration; in September, Deyang Vocational School of Southwest Construction Engineering Administration was established in the new school site of Deyang.

In early 1965, Deyang Construction Vocational School of Southwest construction and Engineering Administration was renamed as Deyang part-time technical secondary school of Southwest construction and Engineering Administration; in March, it was renamed as part-time technical secondary school of the first Bureau of construction and Engineering Department; in June, Deyang children's middle school (established in 1956) was merged.

Due to the criticism of the part-time education system in the "Cultural Revolution", the school was renamed the secondary technical school of the first Bureau of the Ministry of construction and industry.

In early 1971, the school changed its name to the teaching brigade of Sichuan Construction Engineering Bureau.

In June 1972, the school was renamed Construction Engineering School of Sichuan Construction Engineering Bureau.

In November 1980, the school changed its name to Sichuan construction engineering school.

In the spring of 1983, the cadre school of Sichuan Provincial Department of construction was incorporated.

 

Sichuan construction staff University

In 1953, the cadre training class of Sichuan Construction Bureau was established, which was renamed as comprehensive Cadre School of Southwest Construction Engineering Administration Bureau, staff School of Southwest Construction Engineering Administration Bureau, cadre school of Sichuan Construction Engineering Bureau and cadre school of Sichuan construction department.

In 1956, the cadre school of Sichuan Provincial Construction Department was upgraded to Chengdu amateur architectural engineering college.

In 1958, Chengdu amateur architectural engineering college was upgraded to Chengdu architectural engineering college.

In 1966, Chengdu amateur architectural engineering college was abolished.

In 1978, Chengdu Amateur College of architecture and engineering resumed and changed its name to staff University of Sichuan Construction Corporation.

In 1980, the staff University of Sichuan Construction Corporation was renamed Sichuan construction staff University.

Sichuan Urban Construction School

In 1984, Sichuan urban and rural construction and environmental protection cadre school was established.

In 1993, Sichuan urban and rural construction and environmental protection cadre school was renamed Sichuan construction workers secondary vocational school.

In 1996, Sichuan construction workers secondary vocational school was renamed as Sichuan urban construction school, under the leadership of Sichuan Education Department and Sichuan construction department.

Staff University of China Second Heavy Machinery Group Corporation

In 1958, China's second heavy machinery factory Amateur University was established.

Schools were closed during the cultural revolution.

In 1975, the original Amateur University of China No.2 heavy machinery factory was restored and renamed as 7.21 University.

In 1980, July 21 University was renamed as the staff University of the second heavy machinery factory.

In 1996, the staff University of China No.2 heavy machinery factory was renamed as the staff University of China No.2 Heavy Machinery Group Corporation.

In 1998, the technical school of the former China No.2 heavy machinery group company was merged (the former Technical School of China No.2 heavy machinery factory was founded in 1978 and renamed as the technical school of China No.2 heavy machinery group company in 1993), and the brand of Vocational Education Center of China No.2 heavy machinery group company was added.

Merger development

In 2001, with the approval of the people's Government of Sichuan Province, the former Sichuan construction engineering school, the former Sichuan construction staff University and the former Sichuan urban construction school merged to form Sichuan architecture vocational and technical college.

In 2003, the former staff University of China No.2 Heavy Machinery Group Corporation was incorporated into the college.

In 2004, the college passed the evaluation of talent training level in Higher Vocational Colleges and obtained the excellent grade.

In 2007, the college became a University jointly built by Sichuan Provincial Department of housing and urban rural development and Deyang Municipal People's government, and was selected as the construction unit of National Demonstrative Higher Vocational College construction plan.

 

In 2008, the college obtained the independent enrollment qualification.

 

In 2010, the college passed the project approval of national model higher vocational colleges.

In 2011, the college was selected as the post doctoral innovation and practice base of Sichuan Province.

 

In 2013, Chengdu Qingbaijiang campus of Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of architecture was put into use; in the same year, the college became one of the first batch of pilot units of high-end technical and skilled undergraduate talent training reform in Sichuan Province; in the same year, the college was granted the qualification of associate professor (Associate researcher) of civil engineering and the right of subject appraisal.

 

On November 20, 2017, the college was selected as the Construction College of Sichuan high quality higher vocational college construction plan; on November 24, the college joined the national high quality higher vocational college construction cooperation committee of China Society of higher education.

 

On August 1, 2018, the college was selected as the third batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot units.

 

In July 2019, it was recognized as a national high-quality vocational college by the Ministry of education.

 

In December 2019, it was listed as the third type of high-level professional group construction unit (Grade B) by the Ministry of education and the Ministry of finance.
