Basic introduction
Lujia mansion, also known as JinYuTang, is located in the main hall lane. It is the residence of Lu Jiu, a businessman in Macao in the early 20th century (his private garden, lulianruo Park, is one of the famous places in Macao). It was completed in 1889. It is a valuable Chinese building in Macao and a part of "Macao historical city". It is now under the management of the Cultural Bureau. Some of them have been opened to the outside world.
China News Agency, Macao, August 29 (reporter Huang Hongbin) - in line with the inclusion of "Macao's historical city area" in the world heritage list, the Cultural Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) has started a one month partial opening of the Lujia house for residents and tourists to visit and learn about its historical value and architectural features. In the past month, 11000 people have visited the area. In addition to local visitors, Hong Kong visitors and the Pearl River Delta visitors, there are also tourists from the mainland, Taiwan, Mongolia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Europe and the United States.
Yang Yongyu, the cultural heritage ambassador who serves as the guide of the big house, said that since the opening up, hundreds of people have visited the house every day on average. In particular, Hong Kong and the mainland have the largest number of tourists. In addition, they also meet different tourists from all over the world every day. From the first day to now, the number of people waiting in line to visit has not decreased, and the first week is the most enthusiastic. The most unforgettable thing is that the Czech couple took a notebook and drew the pattern of the big house. They also said that Macao is more attractive than the neighboring areas. Lujiadawu is the former residence of luhuashao (Lujiu) family, a famous businessman in Macao. According to the year of the poem inscribed on the cornice of the patio in the left room of the house, the Lujia house was completed in 1889. The big house is built of green brick, imitating the layout of Xiguan big house in Guangzhou. It is two stories high. It is one of the few complete Chinese style big houses in Macao. Like other Xiguan big houses, the decoration of Lu's big house is exquisite. The interior of the house combines Chinese and Western decorative materials and techniques, including brick carving, grey sculpture, horizontal drape, hanging and oyster shell windows commonly seen in central Guangdong, and Western false ceiling, Manchuria windows and cast iron railings. The two kinds of decoration are combined in one furnace, which is very interesting and reflects the characteristics of the Chinese and Western architectural styles in Macao.
Due to the enthusiastic visit, the culture bureau thinks that the event will play a positive role in the promotion of cultural relics. Therefore, it has decided to extend the opening hours of the house from September 1 to December 18, every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, and from December 19 to 31, every day from 9 am to 6 pm. The cultural relics ambassador's guide will continue to provide services .

Located in the main hall lane, Lu's mansion is the former residence of Lu Huashao's family, a famous businessman in Macao. It was completed in 1889. Lujia mansion is a two-story Chinese style building made of thick green bricks. It is a typical Chinese style mansion with gentle and delicate architectural style in the late Qing Dynasty.
The mansion reflects the architectural style of Macao. It has rooms, rooms, kitchens, utility rooms, and many patios for ventilation and lighting. The space on the whole central axis is transparent, but there is a screen partition. The interior is a mixture of Chinese and Western decorative materials and layout techniques. There are brick carving, grey plastic, hanging and oyster shell windows commonly seen in China, and Western false ceiling, Manchurian windows and cast iron railings. The two kinds of decorative features make a furnace together, which is very interesting. The front windows are all Portuguese blinds, of which the upper left and right are the most exquisite. The window sash is wrapped with metal angle, the shutter is added with semicircular colored glass window, and the glass window is decorated with grey plastic. The unique characteristics of the mansion reflect the characteristics of the combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles in Macao. The Macao Cultural Bureau partially opened the Lujia house, one of the world heritage buildings, and arranged cultural relics ambassadors for free guided tours. At that time, the second floor could not be opened at the same time due to the ongoing maintenance of some cultural relics. The maintenance work has finally been completed. From now on, every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, the second floor of Lujia mansion will be officially reopened, so that the mansion can fully show its "true features of Lushan Mountain".
The exhibits show the relationship between the building and the development of the times. The newly opened second floor includes several antique master rooms and dormitories, oyster shell windows with unique Macao characteristics, and some newly restored gray sculptures. At the same time, the graduation design works of master of architecture students from the University of Hong Kong will be displayed in the big house. The models on display are exquisite and detailed, with distinctive design ideas. Many different architectural models present the architectural characteristics of Hong Kong Legislative Council, Cheung Chau, Mong Kok and other places, highlighting the relationship between the location of the building and its people's characteristics and the development of the times. The exhibition of modern architectural model works in the cultural relic buildings can not only guide the visitors to display their imagination of the buildings, but also provide a viewing experience integrating knowledge and interest.
Folk characteristics
In order to celebrate the first "Cultural Heritage Day" on June 10, Macao Cultural Bureau specially arranged for two consecutive days of performance of Guangdong folk masterpieces, Chaoxiu and Foshan paper cutting, at lujiawu on June 10 and 11 (free performance from 9 am to 6 pm every day).
The State Council recently announced the first batch of 518 items of "national intangible cultural heritage list", including Chaoxiu and Foshan paper-cut of the performance, and the performance combined with lujiadawu, a typical Guangdong folk house as Macao's world heritage, fully reflecting the unique folk characteristics of Lingnan region.
In the lujiadawu performance also includes Foshan paper-cut, which has a long history. It originated in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Since the Ming Dynasty, Foshan paper-cut has been produced in a large number of specialized industries and exported to Nanyang and other places. According to the raw materials and methods, there are copper lining, paper lining, copper writing, silver writing, woodcut overprint, copper chisel, solid color and so on. By using copper and silver foils as special products and using cutting, carving, chiseling and other techniques, the paper-cut with strong colors and rich southern characteristics is formed by lining various colored papers and printing various patterns. Foshan paper-cut is not only delicate and elegant, but also vigorous, which has the historical value of studying the folk activities in the Pearl River Delta.
cultural heritage
In 2005, it was listed in the world cultural heritage as a part of "Macao historical city". The Cultural Bureau of Macao SAR government, in cooperation with Jiangsu Provincial Department of culture and provincial intangible cultural heritage protection center, organized intangible cultural heritage projects from Suzhou, Changzhou, Wuxi, Yangzhou and Xuzhou in batches to perform in lujiadawu.
creative industry
Both Wang Zhenxia and Jing Qiuhong, folk craftsmen in Macao, expressed their hope that through the rare platform of lujiadawu, Macao citizens and tourists from all over the world can further appreciate and understand Xuzhou's unique crafts, and look forward to exchanging with Macao folk craftsmen.
The fabric works created by Wang Zhenxia are called "three-dimensional soft sculpture". In order to cater for the coming year of the tiger, Wang Zhenxia has brought many fabric tigers. Xuzhou sachet, brought by Jing Qiuhong, the third generation inheritor of Xuzhou Cao's sachet, integrates traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese knot and embroidery. It is mainly based on festive and auspicious themes. It contains spices made from a variety of Chinese herbal medicines, and its fragrance is overflowing.
According to the Cultural Bureau, the lujiadawu is a famous scenic spot in Macao. Displaying the intangible cultural heritage of the mainland can promote Chinese culture, activate the ancient building and enrich its connotation. It is understood that after this, lujiadawu will display paper-cut and Qinhuai lanterns in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province during the Spring Festival.
Due to the demonstration benefits of Lujia house, Macao cultural circles also propose that the renovation of Zheng Guanying's former residence (Zhengjia house) can consider providing certain space for art groups to perform in the future, so as to promote Macao's creative industry.
