Historical evolution

Central League school

In September 1946, the Central Youth Work Committee (ccywc) began to prepare for the construction of the Central Youth League school.

In September 1948, with the approval of the Party Central Committee, the Central Youth League school was officially established in Pingshan County, Hebei Province. The first ordinary class enrolled more than 500 underground workers of the party.

In August 1949, the second regular class of the Central League school opened in Liangxiang.

At the end of 1949, the Central Youth League school moved to Beijing, and its headquarters and class headquarters were set up in the residential buildings in the East four areas of the city. The graduation ceremony of the first and second ordinary classes of the Central Youth League school was held in Huairen Hall, Zhongnanhai, Beijing. Mao Zedong and Zhu De attended and spoke at the graduation ceremony.

From 1957 to 1978, the Central Youth League school held seven regular classes, one theoretical research class, one ethnic minority class, and short-term training classes for grassroots cadres, organizational work, young pioneers and so on, with a total of more than 3600 trainees. During the turmoil of the cultural revolution, the 15th ordinary class and the minority class were forced to close ahead of time, the school organization was paralyzed, and most of the school buildings, equipment and equipment were occupied and destroyed.

In April 1969, all the staff and workers of the school were transferred to the "May 7th" Cadre School of the Central Committee of Henan Huangchuan Communist Youth League to engage in productive labor.

From the summer of 1978 to the end of 1985, the Central Youth League school held 12 regular classes, 7 classes for minority League cadres, 6 classes for less cadres, and 3 short-term training classes, with a total of 4926 trainees. Meanwhile, it recruited 625 junior college students and 660 evening college preparatory students.

On July 10, 1978, party and state leaders and relevant responsible comrades attended the opening ceremony of the first (16th) rotation class after the resumption of the Central League school.

Since September 1983, the university has held a two-year junior college class for League cadres for three consecutive years to train full-time leading cadres engaged in the work of the Communist Youth League.

China Youth College of Political Science

Since 1984, under the proposal and care of the CPC Central Committee, the Central League school has started to prepare for the establishment of the China Youth College for political science.

On September 19, 1985, the State Education Commission approved the formal establishment of China Youth College for political science.

In 1986, the University began to recruit undergraduates.

In 1990, the University obtained the right to confer bachelor's degree and began to recruit second degree students.

In December 1995, after 10 years of undergraduate education, Comrade Hu Jintao sent a congratulatory letter to the University and Comrade Li Lanqing wrote an inscription for the University.

In April 1998, the undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of education was assessed as "qualified".

In 2000, the University implemented a comprehensive credit system and established a higher vocational and technical college.

In 2003, the University obtained the right to confer master's degree.

In September 2005, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the China Youth Institute for political science, Comrade Wang Zhaoguo, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, came to the school to inspect its work and cordially visit its teachers, students and staff.

In 2006, the University established the first college of social work, China Marxism college and China Marxism Research Center in mainland China, and cooperated with Beijing to set up a youth life education base. In the same year, he was selected into the National College Students' cultural quality education base.

In May 2007, the Ministry of education evaluated the undergraduate teaching level as "excellent".

In 2012, it was approved as one of the first batch of "excellent legal talents education and training plan" key construction universities by the Ministry of education and the central political and legal commission.

In July 2012, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Ministry of Education officially signed an agreement on the co construction of the China Youth Institute for political science.

On May 3, 2013, the school was identified as the first batch of social work professional training base of the Ministry of civil affairs.

In May 2014, the University held the 2014 National College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship action plan project training meeting and launched 45 innovation and entrepreneurship projects.

In 2015, the Research Center for the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League approved by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee was settled in the school.

In January 2017, the Chinese Academy of social sciences will establish the University of the Chinese Academy of social sciences on the basis of the China Youth College of political science, and will build a campus in Qingdao

In May 2017, with the approval of the Ministry of education, the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was founded on the basis of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, integrating the undergraduate education and some graduate education resources of the China Youth College of political science, and the China Youth College of political science will no longer hold the diploma education. On August 25, 2017, the school district of North West Third Ring Road (China Youth College of Political Science) of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was officially listed.

In September 2018, China Youth College of political science was officially identified as the construction unit of Beijing doctoral degree awarding project in 2018, with a construction period of three years.
