Giant panda peach
"Taotao" is a wild giant panda rescued in taojiawan, Wenxian County, Gansu Province in 1986. It was named "Taotao" because the rescue site was in taojiawan. Since then, she has visited the United States and other countries as a friendly envoy.
When he was sent to Jinan zoo in 1994, "Taotao" was already a 22-year-old panda. On February 6, 2008, the "longevity star" died of senile hypertension, secondary cerebral thrombosis and liver dysfunction in Jinan zoo. According to the Convention, Taotao, the giant panda, should return to Baishuijiang National Nature Reserve, Gansu Province, where she first lived after her death. However, considering her local influence in Jinan before she died, she was finally made into a specimen and remained in Jinan zoo.
Willy the gorilla
Willy gorilla, male, was born in the United States in 1976, and was transferred to Jinan zoo by Barcelona International gorilla breeding center.
Reality version of "grey wolf"
An old wolf who has been single for eight years in Jinan zoo married a "little daughter-in-law" in 2009 through "changing parents". Unexpectedly, since the "daughter-in-law", this usually lonely, rebellious old wolf suddenly became honest and modest. This wolf is just like the grey wolf in the animation, which is super good for "daughter-in-law".
For example, in the past, it was not fatal to grab food. Now, it will never move food until the female wolf has finished eating. If the walls of the zoo were not solid, it might have gone to catch sheep every day to show filial respect to its "wife", and its style would have been a realistic version of "grey wolf".
This wolf has another characteristic. Although it has been kept in captivity for many years, its nature has not changed. Its biggest hobby is digging holes. If it doesn't matter, it will dig holes all over the yard. The keeper has to follow it all day to fill the holes. This guy is also super diligent. He can dig several holes in a day, and mending holes is not as fast as digging holes. How many holes has the wolf dug since he lived in the zoo? Even the staff can't count. Moreover, every summer, it always leaves a little meat every day, digs holes and stores it for the winter.
Giant panda spring
The pedigree number of giant panda Quan is 414. Its original name is Wolong 20, Longgu. She is a "heroic mother" who has given birth to five babies and seven cubs, and is known as the first beautiful giant panda in Wolong. Xiangxiang, the eldest son, is the first captive giant panda to be released in the wild. The third son sunshine lives in Edinburgh Zoo. On September 24, 2007, it was introduced by Jinan zoo from Wolong, Sichuan Province. It is the only giant panda in Shandong Province who has settled in the zoo for a long time. In December 2007, enthusiastic people from all walks of life in the provincial capital named it "Quanquan". Quanquan is selected from more than one thousand names, which has the flavor of Quancheng. On July 23, 2010, Jinan zoo issued a notice announcing the sudden death of giant panda "Quanquan" at 10 pm on July 22. Jinan zoo reported on the evening of July 26 that according to environmental protection testing, panda dissection and police's understanding, "Quanquan" died of respiratory failure due to a large amount of inhalation of strong irritating gas, and the police have filed a case for investigation in 2010. Liu Jungang, deputy secretary of the general Party branch of Jinan zoo, said that the strong irritant gas was discharged from an air raid shelter connected to the panda hall. According to the investigation of the scene by the police and the inquiry of the person in charge of the air raid shelter, it was determined that the irritant gas was produced when the contractor of the air raid shelter ignited drugs for disinfection and sterilization, and a large amount of smoke poured into the Panda House through the air vent of the air raid shelter. Suspect Yang has been detained by Jinan police.
