Huxian Confucian temple is located in the north of Huxian East Street near the bell tower in Shaanxi Province. At present, it is the residence of Huxian library, cultural administration commission and other organs. It was founded in the early years of Hongwu (1368-1398) in Ming Dynasty, and has been repaired or expanded many times since then. According to the records of rebuilding the second ancestral temple of Huzhi in the 22nd year of the Republic of China, "the Confucian temple is located in the west of Dongjie County, which is also the former site of Confucianism." Its system is southward. The front center is the temple wall, with doors on the left and right. It is called "holy land" in the East and "xianguan" in the West. A wooden archway was built in front of the wall, with a gold inscription on it, which was called "Confucian Temple" to face the gate. The door is made of wooden bars, often closed to the East and West, and built with brick walls. It is as empty as a lattice. In the east of the gate, there is a gate called ritual gate, which is also used by those who have to go in and out of the temple. In the wall, there are four couplets in the Lingxing gate, which used to be made of wood. Wu Yanzhi, the magistrate of Kangxi, used to be made of stone, and Wang FengChuan recorded it. Panchi is in front of the gate, with a bridge in the middle and water under it. In the north of Lingxing gate is jimenying. In the East is the Minghuan ancestral hall, and in the west is the Xiangxian ancestral hall. Inside the halberd gate, there are eight Eastern and Western verandas. On the north side of the two verandahs are the eight pillars of Dacheng hall, with double eaves on all sides. Behind the hall are the six pillars of Minglun hall. After the hall is the Qisheng temple, which was changed to Chongsheng Temple in the year of Yongzheng yuan of the Qing Dynasty, and was granted the title of Wang Jue in the Five Dynasties of Sun Tzu. On the temple is the Zunjing Pavilion, and on the west is the Confucian lecture house. "
Huxian Confucian temple was announced as the third batch of provincial key cultural relics protection units by Shaanxi Provincial People's Government on April 20, 1992.
