Bridge location
Lhasa River Bridge is located in Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It spans Lhasa River, about 2km away from Lhasa station and 5km away from Lhasa city center
To the north of the bridge site is Nyainqentanglha mountain, to the west is duilongdeqing district and Lhasa Economic and Technological Development Zone, and to the East is Lhasa city; the whole bridge section is a part of the west end of Qinghai Tibet railway

Design concept
The design concept of Lhasa River Bridge combines the local natural environment, Tibetan customs and architectural style, and the design concept integrates regional culture and plateau landscape elements
In the bridge type, the images of hada, flying Jingfan and snow mountain are introduced. It not only has a beautiful curve formed by the macro arch axis and a certain sense of volume, but also has a truss structure with rhythmic details, which has both national characteristics and the flavor of the times
. The bridge body is painted in white. The three span continuous steel arch of the main bridge looks like three white and soft hADAS floating on the Lhasa River to welcome guests from afar
The design of one large arch and two small arches and arch feet is also like the rolling plateau snow mountain

Design features
The main bridge of Lhasa River bridge adopts a combination system of five span continuous bridge and three span continuous steel arch bridge in the middle, and the main span adopts a double-layer curved arch structure
. The main bridge adopts the structure of concrete-filled steel tubular arch continuous beam, and the approach bridge adopts the form of prestressed concrete continuous box beam

In order to reduce the heaviness of the arch ribs, the main bridge is made into double ribs of steel structure, the high and low ribs of the middle span are connected by circular tubes, and the high and low ribs of the two small spans are made into solid webs. The treatment of arch foot is completed by using the mechanical characteristics of bridge deck beam structure and concrete texture; the connection between arch foot and arch rib is strengthened by concrete rigid members, which realizes the transition from real to virtual in visual effect

The main span pier is made into variable cross-section double cylindrical pier, and the unequal cross-section box girder of main span and approach bridge adopts smooth transition
