Located in the southwest corner of Yuxian Nanguan, Yuxian Sakya temple is one of the national key cultural relics protection units. It was built as an nunnery in the early Yuan Dynasty, and rebuilt as Sakya temple in the Hongwu year of Ming Dynasty. Shijia Temple faces south in the north, with a grand scale. It is composed of Zhaobi, bell and Drum Tower, approach bridge, stele Pavilion and so on. There are three main halls, namely Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall and houdian hall, which have obvious architectural characteristics of Yuan Dynasty. Although it has gone through wind and rain, it is well preserved. It is one of the famous ancient temples in Yuzhou. It is now the location of Yuxian Museum. There are 5666 pieces in its collection, among which porcelain, pottery, calligraphy and painting are the most. Among them, the green glazed pottery unearthed from the tombs of the middle and late Tang Dynasty is the most characteristic.
Yuxian Museum
Yuxian Museum, founded in 1958, was merged with the cultural museum during the cultural revolution. Restored and rebuilt in 1979, it is the earliest county-level Museum in Hebei Province. After reconstruction in 1979, the museum was located in the backyard of a folk house on pailou West Street. In early October 1998, the museum was successfully relocated to Sakya temple, mainly because of the unique features of each hall of Sakya temple, which provides important information for the study of the evolution of wooden buildings in Yuan Dynasty and the cultural relics of Yuxian County. On June 25, 2001, in the name of "Sakya Temple", it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.

In 1998, the Yuxian Museum moved from a courtyard in the West Street of the county to the Sakya temple in Nanguan.
