Menghuan pagoda is located in the southeast of Mangshi, on the top of leiyalang mountain at an altitude of 1079.6 meters. It is a landmark building in Mangshi and a holy land for Dai people living here.
The height of the whole tower is 76 meters, the diameter of the base at the bottom of the tower is 50 meters, the shape is octagonal four door hollow pagoda, and the lower three floors are hollow halls. The main hall on the first floor covers an area of 2000 square meters, with four Buddha statues in the center square pillars. On the second and third floor, there are 16 towers with unique shapes, and 16 white jade Buddha statues in the pavilion. The main body of the tower is a large bell shaped tower. There are eight small towers on the second and third floors, and eight exquisite vase towers on the outer platform of the fourth floor. The main core pillar on the base is built with a big bell and 13 bowls. The highest point is equipped with a big golden top weighing 2.3 tons. It can be called the first golden Pagoda in China and the first hollow Pagoda in Asia.

Historical evolution
Menghuan pagoda is located at the top of Leiya rang mountain in Mangshi City, with an altitude of 1079.6 meters. It is said that Sakyamuni lived here when he was reincarnated as Golden Rooster aluan. The original Leiya rangshan pagoda was destroyed during the Anti Japanese war in 1942, and the Menghuan Pagoda in Mangshi city was also destroyed in 1966. After that, it was decided that the two pagodas would be rebuilt and named Menghuan pagoda.
On June 30, 2004, the construction of Menghuan gold pagoda broke ground with a total investment of 55 million yuan.
On May 12, 2006, the ceremony of appreciating the pagoda and releasing the relic was held in Menghuan gold pagoda.
On May 1, 2007, the main project was completed, and the Kaiguang coronation ceremony was held.
