COWA gashizedoka Temple
COWA gashizedoka temple is located 90 kilometers southwest of the county. It is under the mountain of COWA gashizedoka to the west of Eling Lake in the present Zhaling Lake Township. There is an access road to the temple along the West Bank of the lake. In the summer of 1956, the mani Lama went to Lhasa to pay homage. He handed over the collected accounts and other things to Sang Hong (who died in 1986 and was a member of the Yuanzhou CPPCC) who was a famous local believer. In the winter of the same year, Mani Lama died in Muge, Zaduo County, Yushu. Sang Hong carried back his bones and built a "Doka" here. Doka was destroyed in 1958, and the bones were kept secret by the masses. In 1984, it was approved as a religious activity site. In recent years, in the original location of Duoka, 7 large and small Sutra halls, 10 Sutra conversion rooms, 14 monk houses and 2 stone pagodas have been built, forming the scale of the temple. At present, there are 42 monks and 2 permanent residents. The master of the temple is mabao, the son of Sang Hong. He is 41 years old. Some of the monks believe in Gelug Sect, others believe in Ningma sect, but Ningma sect is the main one. There are two silver inlaid coral copper pagodas, 2 feet square, 3.5 feet high and worth more than 40000 yuan, which are respectively stored in the remains of Mani Lama and Sanghong. On the side of the temple, there are 13 herdsmen's houses and 38 rooms. Most of the people who believe in this temple are the people of the original Huoke tribe in Zaling lake, and some of the people of qumalai in Yushu.
Cuowagashize mountain is one of the thirteen "holy mountains" in Maduo area, with an altitude of 4610 meters. In 1983, the people's Government of Qinghai Province decided to open it as a tourist spot. Every year, many foreign guests and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao come here to visit. There is also an access road to the top of the mountain by car. On the top of the mountain, there is a bronze tablet of Niutou in Heyuan, which was completed in October 1988. The height of the tablet is 3 meters, and the height of the pedestal is 2 meters. There are words and inscriptions inscribed by Comrade Hu Yaobang and master Panchen for the source of the Yellow River, which are inlaid with copper molds. In addition, the inscription is powerful, symbolizing the long history of the Chinese nation and its hardworking and simple character.
