Changde museum is located in the most prosperous and wide Wuling Avenue South Road, Nantong Wuling square, Yuan'an Avenue, Changde Poetry Wall; north to the sports center, Changde railway station. The first phase (main hall) was completed in March 1993; the second phase (special hall) was completed in May 1999, with a total construction area of 10000 square meters and a total investment of 14 million yuan. The building is a quadrangle antique building, which is composed of the main hall and the North South theme hall. The main hall is divided into front hall, central hall and backyard. A 68 meter wide perspective wall is built in front of the street. Inside the wall is a broad front terrace. A colorful music fountain is installed in the center of the terrace. Two huge stone lions stand on both sides of the reading platform in front of the museum. Two huge glass fiber reinforced plastic bronze reliefs are inlaid on the north and south sides of the front hall. On the front wall of the first floor of the front hall is the largest Tri Color mural of the Tang Dynasty in Hunan Province - the fairyland of Peach Blossom Land. The central hall is 30 meters long, 24 meters wide and 21.8 meters high, with a glass roof above. It has plenty of light and is spacious. It is a multi-functional and comprehensive exhibition hall. The backyard is a fully enclosed exhibition room and storeroom, with 10 standard exhibition rooms and 4 cultural relics storerooms. It is mainly used for the display and storage of historical relics. As the city's cultural relics collection, research and Protection Center, Changde Museum has collected more than 50000 pieces of cultural relics, photos, books and documents at all levels for the country, including 1092 pieces of social construction relics, 550 pieces of scattered cultural relics, 78 pieces of national first-class cultural relics, 494 pieces of second-class cultural relics and 450 pieces of third-class cultural relics.
