Gongchuan ancient town

Gongchuan town is located in the northern suburb of Yong'an City, 18 kilometers away from the city. Gongchuan, formerly known as "Gongpu", is the only castle style ancient town in the province. Gongchuan town has a long history. There are two Tanhua, 24 Jinshi, more than 300 Juren Gongsheng, two famous thinkers, one famous musician and one famous inventor recorded in historical books. There are many cultural relic protection units in Gongchuan, including three provincial-level cultural relic protection units, namely the ancient city wall, Huiqing bridge, and bamboo Gang inn. There are more than ten municipal cultural relic protection units, including Zhengshun temple, Chen's ancestral hall, Gujing, and Li Baojun's former residence.

There are clear chronological records, which can be traced back to 741 A.D., that is, Gongchuan was developed in a planned way in the Tang Dynasty, and reached a glorious period in the Song Dynasty. The Chen family enjoys the reputation of "one Neo Confucianism, nine sons and ten subjects". Chen Yu, the representative of the "School of mind" in Fujian Song Dynasty, is a native of Gongchuan. For this reason, Emperor Gaozong of Song Dynasty also granted a memorial archway of "daruli".
