Yibin Daguanlou, also known as qiaolou (the building built on the gate of the city in ancient times to light the fire), is known locally as "little Tiananmen Gate" because it looks like Tiananmen Gate in Beijing. Located in xijiekou, Central District, Yibin City, it is a landmark building of Yibin City and a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.
Development history
It is said that when Ji xuanming wrote the three characters "Daguanlou", he wrote the two characters "Da" and "Lou" first, and the word "Guan" was written last. However, when he wrote the last stroke, Ji xuanming felt that his wrist strength was insufficient, so he kicked the pen holder with his toe, and then he was able to complete the word "Guan". But because of too much force, the ink splashed, and the magistrate tolong's clothes were stained. Tolong was very unhappy. Fortunately, Ji xuanming was alert and wrote "Changbai tolong title" instead of his own name in the final question. This time tolong turned his anger into joy, so there is no Ji xuanming book on the plaque. Because of the popularity of Daguanlou, tolong recommended Ji xuanming as an official.
There are also legends. "Daguanlou" is written by a beggar with a broom. It is probably because before liberation, the grand view building was in disrepair for a long time, the window lattice of the building was incomplete, the beams and eaves were corroded, the passageway downstairs became a place for beggars to live, and the upstairs was a place for fire alarm and detention of "strong men". The whole building was bleak and desolate. Under the West eaves of the grand view building, there is a four character plaque of "Southwest half wall", natural and unrestrained, graceful and vigorous. Inscribed with the four character plaque of "Southwest half wall", it is Gu ruxiu, who was selected into the Imperial Academy by a Jinshi from Huayang, Chengdu. Gu served as two high-ranking officials after the three-year examination in the Imperial Academy. One was the Minister of Annan (today's Vietnam) on behalf of the Qianlong Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, and the other was the chief minister of Dali Temple of the Qing Dynasty. Gu, a native of Sichuan Province, also served as an envoy to Annan. He was well aware of Yibin's strategic position in Southwest China, so he chose this four character book as a gift to Yibin (also written at the request of another Huayang native Tian). This plaque has been hanging in Daguanlou for 237 years. In fact, the word "Southwest half wall" was not created by Gu ruxiu, but originated from an old poem
"The gate of the stone city is steep. Who will open it? It's even more difficult to hear the wind and the falling stones.
The boundary day white ridge wins the golden soup, suppresses the southwest tianbanbi. "
This poem was written by Wei Gao, the governor of Xichuan in Jiannan of Tang Dynasty, who sent people to repair it with Nanzhao and passed through Shicheng mountain in Yibin County. Gu ruxiu selected four words in the poem as a gift to Yibin, which reflected his views on the history of Yibin. These four words are magnificent, accurate, vivid, thought-provoking and fascinating.
When was the grand view building built? There are two legends. In the fifth year of Yuanhe of Tang Dynasty, Wei Nankang's memorial tablet, which was set up by Zhang jiuzong, the governor of Rongzhou, recorded that the building was built by Wei Gao when Emperor Dezong of Tang Dynasty. Unfortunately, the tablet and inscription have not existed for a long time. On the other hand, according to the records of qiaolou in Xujun County written by Deng Shimin, the commander of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, according to the records of Yibin County, during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, Yibin was the capital of imperial edicts In Yan County, there is Qiao Lou (in the east of Fu Shu), which was founded in Jiajing of Ming Dynasty. The latter is more accurate. At the end of Ming Dynasty, Qiao Lou was destroyed by fire. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Libin, the magistrate of the Qing Dynasty, was renovated and burned again during the reign of Emperor Qianlong Jiashen. The next year, the magistrate tolong rebuilt it and named it Daguanlou. At the end of Ming Dynasty, qiaolou was destroyed by war. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Libin, the magistrate of the Qing Dynasty, was renovated and burned again during the reign of Emperor Qianlong Jiashen. The next year, the magistrate tolong was rebuilt, which was named Daguanlou because it faced the Dianchi Lake, looked far away at the west mountain and enjoyed the scenery of lakes and mountains.
Before liberation, the Daguan building was in disrepair for a long time, the window lattice of the building was broken, the eaves of the pillars were corroded, the downstairs Yong was a place for beggars to rest, and the upstairs was a place to watch the fire, report to the police and detain the "strong men". The whole building was desolate. After liberation, the people's government allocated funds to repair the grand view building for many times, making it look brand new and more magnificent than before. Visitors can not only read in the library, but also enjoy the exquisite art of ancient buildings. View the ancient city by the window. Behind the grand view building, to the West Street, to xichengjiao street, this site was formerly known as "futangba", which means that the county government of Yibin used to be here.
Due to the long-term rain, some rafters of the double and triple eaves of the grand view building have been decayed, especially the triple eaves. Some places can't bear the weight of tiles, leading to the collapse of the grand view building. From 2003 to 2006, Yibin City did a lot of maintenance work.
