Dongying New Century Plaza is located at the intersection of Shengli Street and Fuqian street in Dongcheng, Dongying City. Construction started in March 1998 and completed on September 28. With a total area of 170000 square meters, it is composed of the central square, the comprehensive office building of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, the office building of the municipal court, the office building of the municipal procuratorate and the new century gate, with a total construction area of 40000 square meters. The style of the square is dignified and generous. The basic tone of several buildings is light camel color. The shapes are uneven and echo each other, harmonious and unified.

New Century Gate

The new century gate is located in the south of the central square, with a width of 40 meters and a height of 16 meters. The new century gate can be used not only as the screen of the comprehensive office building of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, but also as the background of Shengli Road in the south of the square. The paving and greening of the central square covers an area of 32000 square meters, including 12800 square meters of green space. The green space is mainly composed of winter green grass, and trees such as juniper, rose, Cedrus deodara, and Jatropha curcas are arranged indirectly to form the effect of flowers and green in all seasons. Automatic sprinkler irrigation system is set in green space.

Taking a broad view, the square is well-organized, with unique flower beds. The flowers are swaying with the wind, in a variety of forms, gorgeous and colorful. Some are as white as jade, some are as red as yellow, and some are as magnificent as rainbow. They are so gorgeous and charming, and are full of spring.

In the middle of the central square, there is a dry music fountain with a diameter of 28 meters. The fountain can change with the change of music, forming various forms of water samples. Square lamp post

There are six 7-meter-high combination lamp posts on both sides of the central square, under which there are 12 × 12 meters square green space, embedded with granite seats in four directions; the lamp posts are arranged in two layers, the lower part is white transparent ball lamp and colored flag, and the upper part is red projector and combination sound. In front of the office building of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, there are six 9-glow lamps. The paving stones of the new century plaza have also been carefully selected. The central area is mainly made of dark red granite chopping stone slabs. The light columns on both sides are decorated with cyan granite grinding stone slabs, and the rest are white square bricks.

Plaza main building

The main building is towering and solemn, and the auxiliary buildings on both sides are slightly surrounded, implying the meaning of welcome and embrace. The office buildings of the court and the Procuratorate are respectively located on the East and west sides of the central square, with the finished glyph composition and the center height of 35.2 meters. From all sides, the office buildings of the two academies are in the shape of mountains, implying that law enforcement is as strong as mountains. The office buildings of the two academies are decorated with circular and square decorative patterns respectively, implying that they are not in accordance with the rules.

Plaza future

After the completion of the New Century Plaza, it has become a popular place for rest, entertainment and fitness for Dongying citizens. It has also attracted many tourists.
