Jinan Xueye tourist area Located in Laiwu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, Laiwu district is a cultural tourism functional zone planned and constructed by the former Laiwu municipal Party committee and the former Laiwu municipal government to coordinate the regional development of the whole city. With a total area of 587.6 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over three towns and 131000 people. It is a provincial tourist resort, a national water scenic spot, a key service industry park in Shandong Province, a permanent host of China International Aviation Sports Festival, and a tourist attraction in 2015 China's annual leisure and health resort.

Xueye tourist area is located in the center of Shandong Province, 46 kilometers away from Jinan City, 60 kilometers away from Jinan Yaoqiang airport, 90 kilometers away from Jinan west station of Beijing Shanghai high speed railway. Beijing Shanghai Expressway and four provincial roads pass through the area, covering more than 20 million people within 40 minutes. The area is rich in ecological resources of mountains and waters. The water surface of Xueye lake is 15 square kilometers, with water storage of 240 million cubic meters, which is the largest water surface in the 50 kilometer circle of Jinan. There are national Huashan Forest Park and Ma'anshan Forest Park, Xueye Lake National Wetland Park, Fanggan Provincial Jiulong Grand Canyon Geopark. The forest coverage rate is 70%, forming a beautiful landscape with water in the mountains, mountains in the water and mountains in the water . It is the intersection of Qi and Lu cultures. Xueye lake has a total storage capacity of 221 million cubic meters, Xingli reservoir capacity of 112 million cubic meters, and the largest water surface area of 18000 mu. The lake is open, the coastline is tortuous, surrounded by mountains, the forest is gloomy, and the landscape is harmonious. In addition, Xueye lake mainly undertakes the industrial and agricultural water use in Laiwu district and Gangcheng District of Jinan City. The annual water supply to Laicheng Power Plant and Laiwu power plant in Jinan is more than 20 million cubic meters, and the water supply to Laigang is more than 10 million cubic meters, which is an important guarantee for Laigang to move towards a large steel plant of ten million tons.

The overall development orientation of Xueye tourist area is: Shandong lakeside leisure and holiday center, landscape sports, conference and recuperation base. The long-term development goal is: China's famous compound experience, ecological leisure resort and high-end business resort, and Northeast Asia's famous leisure resort. The whole area is divided into Fanggan ecological scenic area and Xueye lake leisure resort. The planning control area of Xueye lake leisure resort is 130 square kilometers, the core scenic area is 60 square kilometers, and the total development area is 18 square kilometers. It is divided into seven key areas, namely lvzuquan historical corridor, Xueye north bank new town, Eastern golf community, water sports center, south bank orchard community, left bank Shuidu, Ma'anshan forest park.

On August 8, 2007, Yu Jiancheng, former Secretary of Laiwu municipal Party committee, and other leaders unveiled the establishment of the Management Committee of Laiwu Xueye tourist area.
