Seawall

The seawall is located in Lianyun District, 30km southeast of Lianyungang City. From Beigushan huangshizu in Lianyungang district to jiangjiazui, the largest island in Jiangsu Province, the seawall is 6700m long and connects Liandao with land. It is known as "the first seawall in China". The levee was built with the approval of the State Council after nearly 20 years of scientific research, investigation and test by many experts and scholars. The purpose is to better build Lianyun port, establish the status of the Oriental port and develop the island. The levee was built on March 10, 1985 and successfully closed on December 8, 1993. The top of the levee is 12 meters wide, the net width of the road is 10 meters, the top of the levee is 7 meters, and the top elevation is 9 meters. On this levee, an arc-shaped breakwater with a height of 7.8 meters is built. It is known as the "Great Wall on the sea". Through the dike, it can reach Liandao bathing beach and Liandao seaside resort directly by land.
