Chenzhou Martyrs Park, established in December 1996, is a public welfare institution. It is administratively under the leadership of Chenzhou Municipal Administration Bureau, and its business is under the jurisdiction of Chenzhou landscape management office. It is located in the southeast of Chenzhou central city. It is divided into East and West Mountains (242 meters above sea level in Dongling and 218.8 meters above sea level in Xiling) and Tangjiashan, with a total area of 38.7 hectares. It is the second municipal comprehensive park Sex park.
Historical evolution
On May 17, 1996, "shidongta Park" was established. On November 28, 1996, Dongta Park was renamed "Chenzhou Martyrs Park" (the memorial site of the southern Hunan uprising). Because Chenzhou citizens used to call it Dongta, it is still called dongtaling, but they all know it is Martyrs Park. In 1995, it was approved as a municipal patriotic education base. The facilities in the park include: the memorial tower of southern Hunan uprising inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, the stele corridor of Chenzhou martyrs inscribed by general shack, the stele corridor engraved with the names of 7339 Chenzhou martyrs (1927-1998), the memorial Pavilion of General Yang Dezhi's poems commemorating revolutionary martyrs, the tomb of Xia Mingzhen martyrs, the exhibition room of southern Hunan uprising and other memorial facilities. Hu Yaobang's Memorial Hall of southern Hunan uprising held a foundation laying ceremony on September 5, 2008.
The park is mainly a memorial area. In 1998, on the basis of the original 1987 master plan, the park was readjusted and divided into "Three Entrances" and "eight scenic spots", namely "south entrance, special entrance, north entrance, memorial area, youth activity area, big lawn area, old age area, riverside walk area, leisure area, production area and industrial development area". At present, the main Memorial facilities include: Xiangnan Uprising Memorial Tower, Chenzhou martyr stele corridor, memorial Pavilion, Xia Mingzhen martyr's tomb, 476 steps from south gate to memorial tower, entertainment city and teahouse for people's leisure and entertainment. It is the only open Memorial Park in Chenzhou, with remarkable social benefits. It is an important base for patriotism education and revolutionary tradition education in Chenzhou.

Xiangnan Uprising monument
Covering an area of 1600 square meters, with a total cost of 1.23 million yuan, it is a concrete granite structure building, paved with 4810 pieces of Miluo granite. The monument, 28.1 meters high, shows the time of the uprising in southern Hunan in January 1928. It is made of 1580 pieces of Fujian granite. It looks like four steel guns towering in the sky. It shows the truth that "power comes out of the barrel of the gun". Radiating the top four directions, 360 pieces of Sichuan Red granite are used to paste the flag of the Communist Party of China. On the west side of the stele is Deng Xiaoping's seven character inscription of "Xiangnan Uprising monument"; on the east side of the stele is general Xiao Ke's inscription of 225 characters; on the north and south sides are two group reliefs of "Xiangnan uprising" and "establishing political power", composed of 22 Leiyang white jades, carved by Zhang Liren, a sculptor of Yuelushan Park in Hunan Province, reflecting the people's fighting against local tyrants, dividing fields and establishing local governments Red regime, the scene of revolutionary storm sweeping southern Hunan.

Xia Mingzhen's tomb

Xia Mingzhen, born on December 24, 1906, was born in Hengyang County, Hunan Province. At the end of 1922, he joined the Communist Party of China in the third division of Hunan Province. In the autumn of 1925, he went to Guangzhou peasant movement training institute to study. In 1926, he successively served as the organization director of the CPC southern Hunan District Committee, the chairman of the Hengyang peasant association, and the dean of the Hengyang peasant movement training institute. From July to November 1927, he served as the director of the CPC chennan District Committee In September of the same year, he served as the Secretary of Chen county Party committee of the Communist Party of China. He secretly restored and developed the party's organization, formed peasant armed forces, attacked tax cards, suppressed local tyrants and evil gentry, and raided the "Qingxiang committee" on good farmland. With vigour and vitality, local tyrants and evil gentry were attacked by the peasants in Town God's Temple, and in March 12, 1928, when they were under the guidance of Zhu De and Chen Yi, they formed the Chen County peasants to carry out the agrarian revolutionary struggle. Xiangnan Uprising Memorial Hall
On July 8, 2010, Xiangnan Uprising Memorial Hall, located in Chenzhou Martyrs Park, is a provincial patriotic education base and one of the important scenic spots of red tourism in our city, with a construction area of 4886 square meters, including an exhibition hall area of more than 2900 square meters. In the exhibition hall of the memorial hall, five parts are displayed, which are "rebirth in blood, Zhu De leading the army to southern Hunan", "red flag in wind, millions of people fighting against the enemy", "magnificent creation of the Soviet regime", "strategic transfer of southern Hunan volunteers to Jinggang" and "brilliant achievements in the annals of history".
