The park covers an area of 1 million square meters with a total investment of 230 million yuan. The comprehensive green area is 700000 square meters. Along the lake, 6 km of landscape wooden plank road will be built.

The overall planning of Xishan Lake Park is divided into four functional areas: waterfront landscape area, ecological research area, science research area and flower and tree viewing area. The landscape structure is "one center, two belts and multiple nodes". Among them, the area of island and water area is 800000 square meters, and the area of landscape belt around the lake is 200000 square meters.
