Luzhi has always been known as "the hall of five lakes" and "the Chong of Six Rivers". "Hall of five lakes" means that it faces Chenghu lake and Wanqian Lake in the south, Dushu Lake and Jinji Lake in the west, and Yangcheng Lake in the north. "Liuze's Chong" means that it has six channels: Wusong River, qingxiaogang, Jiepu, Zhangling port, Dongtang and Dazhi port. Luzhi has many rivers, bridges and streets. People sleep in the river. The town is simple and elegant.
Luzhi is a little smaller than Tongli. It's much bigger than Mudu. It's a T-shaped waterway connecting the buildings on both sides. But there are many stories about Luzhi. What is most worth seeing is the Baosheng temple in the Tang Dynasty. Of course, there are Shen house, Xiao Fangfang performing arts hall, Wang Tao Memorial Hall and the famous Wansheng rice shop.
Luzhi has many bridges, which once enjoyed the reputation of "bridge capital" in the south of the Yangtze River. The 41 ancient bridges, known as "three steps and two bridges", have different shapes, unique features and antique flavor. There are porous big stone bridges, single hole small stone bridges, spacious arched bridges, narrow flat top bridges, highly decorative double bridges, sister bridges adjacent to each other on the left and right sides, and flat bridges convenient for the town. There are five double bridges connecting the two bridges at right angles, which are amazing.
