brief introduction
The topography of Zhuzhu lake can be traced back to about 350000 years ago. The magma from the eruption of Qixing mountain blocked the mouth of the mountain. With the accumulation of rainwater, it formed a barrier lake. Later people called it a lake. Gradually, under the erosion of the lake water, it cut through the edge of the lake. The lake water gradually flowed out. Farmers could easily use the land to reclaim farmland, creating today's agricultural landscape.

However, due to the scattered unearthed cultural relics, it can only be inferred that this area is only a channel from the Taipei basin to the north coast, or a living area for collecting and hunting. The first family to come here is Gao family in Quanzhou, the second is Cao family, and the third is Lin family and other families.
In 1895, the Anti Japanese forces led by Jian Dashi gathered in Yangmingshan area at the cutting platform of the Qing Dynasty, leaving traces of ancient battlefields in Zhuzhu Lake area. After Japan took control of Taiwan, Dr. Ji Yongji discovered the special topography of Qixing mountain and set up Li Penglai Miyuan farming office in 1923. With the development of agriculture, hot spring sanatorium, mountaineering accommodation villa, Bamboo Lake study, vegetable Experiment Institute, composting experiment field, and water conservancy facilities for irrigation have been established one after another. During this period, Penglai rice and Korean cuisine industries were developed one after another.
After the war, due to the shortage of funds of the national government, the Agricultural Experiment Institute was abolished, and the competition of Lishan Korean cuisine, the agriculture of Zhuzhu Lake declined gradually. Later, with the introduction of Alocasia esculenta, the industry gradually transformed into flowers and sightseeing.
