Datong Park
Datong park is located in the west of Weidu Avenue, Pingcheng District, Datong. It covers an area of 249000 square meters, including water area of 77000 square meters. It was built in 1951 and opened in 1953, receiving 1.3 million tourists annually.

There are more than 12000 trees in the park, including Pinus bungeana, juniper, Robinia pseudoacacia, Picea crassifolia, Ginkgo biloba, and Populus deltoides. There are statues of workers, peasants and soldiers in the center and the legend of iron ox in the south gate. In the north of the garden, there is a flower greenhouse of 8600 square meters, which cultivates more than 10000 pots and more than 220 varieties of flowers. At the south end of the greenhouse, there is a flower bed and a flower Pavilion in the middle. All kinds of patterns are made up of peony, peony and Canna. They are colorful and fragrant. In the west of the greenhouse is the animal area, covering an area of 5009 square meters. There are 40 kinds of animals, including African lion, Amur tiger, leopard, sika deer, black bear, Guangxi monkey, etc. There are 28 kinds of birds in the south of the animal area, including peacock, Caragana and parrot. There is a rockery Pavilion on the west side.
