BaoFeng Lake

Baofeng lake is a part of the world natural heritage, the World Geopark, the first batch of national 5A tourist area, Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan scenic spot. It is a lake type natural scenic spot with the combination of natural landscape and cultural folk custom in Zhangjiajie landform. Known as the "World Lake classic", it is located in the core area of Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan scenic spot, 8 kilometers away from Tianzi mountain, 1.5 kilometers away from Wulingyuan District government, and 8 kilometers away from Huanglong cave. Baofeng Lake scenic spot integrates landscape and folk customs. It is especially famous for its picturesque Gaoxia Pinghu, Baofeng waterfall and mysterious ancient mountain temple.

Baofeng Lake scenic area covers a total area of 4100 mu, with the combination of lakes and mountains, and the combination of mountains, rivers and humanities. Three hundred and eighty million years ago, the earth's crust in Wulingyuan area declined and the sea water immersed into it, forming a vast ocean. After hundreds of millions of years of water erosion, cutting and joint development, the natural scenery of thousands of peaks and thousands of stones has been formed. Baofeng Lake scenic area is an integral part of world natural heritage, World Geopark, national AAAAA scenic area and Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan core scenic area. In 2008, it won the honorary title of "women's civilization post" at the provincial level for its high-quality service. In 2009, it was awarded the honorary title of "youth civilization" and the 10th top ten unit of staff professional ethics construction in Hunan Province. In 2010, "Baofeng Lake" trademark used by Baofeng lake company was recognized as a famous trademark in Hunan Province.

Development and utilization

Located in the east of Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, only 34 kilometers away from Zhangjiajie City. In 1984, Baofeng Lake scenic area was opened to the public.

In 1992, Baofeng lake, as a part of Wulingyuan scenic spot, was listed in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage list. In 1994, Malaysian overseas Chinese Tian Guolai managed Baofeng Lake scenic spot.

In September 2001, Zhangjiajie Tourism Development Co., Ltd. renewed its contract and obtained the right to operate, and established Zhangjiajie Baofeng Lake Tourism Industry Development Co., Ltd.

Baofeng Lake Park includes seven major projects: dynamic waterscape area, water recreation area, folk custom park, animal interest area, poly resort, poly entertainment center and strange mountaineering line.

The southeast part of the scenic spot is Baofeng lake, which is known as the classic Lake in the world. It is located on the top of the mountain with a relative height of more than 80 meters. The lake is 2.5 kilometers long and the average water depth is 72 meters. The lake is very beautiful with beautiful scenery, green mountains and clear water. Yingwozhai in the northwest of the scenic spot has steep cliffs, eagles and apes are anxious to climb, the ancient trees are towering in the mountains, covering the sky and the sun, and the spring in the forest is tinkling like a ring.

Baofeng Lake scenic spot is one of the first tourist spots in China that have passed ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 Trinity international standard management system certification. The main landscape features are thousand meter high gorge, ten mile Yao pool, Qifeng waterfall, cliff plank road, deep mountain ancient temple, intoxicating folk custom, passionate singing and dancing and so on. Yingwo village is a view of Baofeng park. After entering the park, it climbs hundreds of stone steps to the West. The cracks on the top of the stone peak are like lines. There are battlements at the entrance of the ancient city gate, and there are Baofeng ancient temples at the end, which are full of incense. The stone on the cliff goes straight to the top of the mountain. It is said that in the old society, there were bandit leaders like eagles occupying the small village on the top of the mountain. A line of sky is a great spectacle of Baofeng park. The canyon is more than 200 meters long and 100 meters high, with an average width of less than two meters. There is a small stream in the canyon. The stone steps on the side of the stream spiral upward, which is incomparably quiet and endless. There are also a series of scenic spots along the tour line. The famous yingwo village is located on a cliff in the southwest of Baofeng lake. In his early years, he was a famous bandit stronghold, where the TV series "Wulong mountain bandit suppression" was shot.

Transportation route

It takes about 40 minutes from Zhangjiajie coach station to Wulingyuan District, and then takes 10 minutes from Wulingyuan District to Baofeng Lake by taxi. Or take No.2 bus, the fare is 1 yuan.
