Tuojiang rock jump

Tuojiang Tiaoyan is located in the Tuojiang River outside the north gate of Fenghuang ancient city. It was built in 1704, the 43rd year of Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty. The total length of Tiaoyan is 100 meters. There are 15 rock mounds, which are arranged on the bed of Tuojiang River in turn. The rock piers are built with red sand stones. The distance between the piers is 5 meters. The upper part is paved with wooden boards. The wooden boards are bound with iron chains and fixed on the iron piles on both sides of the river to prevent the flood from washing away. After several times of wind, rain, frost, snow and vicissitudes, the rock jumping is still solid and well preserved. Now it is not only the main road for people to travel on the Tuojiang River, but also a beautiful scenery with national characteristics in the ancient city of Phoenix.

Outside the north gate of Fenghuang ancient city, the Tuojiang River flows slowly from west to East. 15 rock piers are arranged in turn on the river.
