Altay Birch Park

Birch forest park is a garden built with natural trees as the main landscape, with a total area of 52.5 hectares. It is located in the northwest corner of Altay City, a floodplain in the upper reaches of the crane river. The terrain is relatively flat and open. The crane river divides it into six small islands, forming a beautiful scenery of forest and water. Hualin Park, also known as "Dutong island", is said to be named after a Dutong who spent the summer here. In the 1940s, a mountain was in turmoil, and the forest was destroyed by war, which was desolate. However, for the sake of heaven, there are endless wildfires and spring breeze. Today, almost all the trees in the garden are secondary trees that grew naturally later. The age of the trees is no more than 50 years, but the forest is flourishing, the grass is flourishing, and the birch forest has restored its former glory

Park structure

Birch forest park is different from the general man-made park. It is close to mountains and rivers, and integrates natural trees, rivers, flowers and plants. The tree species are broadleaved secondary forest in cold temperate mountainous area, mainly birch, followed by Populus davidiana. There are more than ten kinds of shrubs in the forest, such as Rosa multiflora, Caragana, Spiraea, black vinegar millet, wild thorn attack, etc. under the forest and open space, there are various herbaceous plants, such as weilingcai, Mentha haplocalyx, CaoHua, white clover, red clover, Melilotus, Medicago sativa, Artemisia annua, Artemisia alba, etc. in the low dust wet place, there are Acorus calamus, reed, Cyperus, moss, etc. In summer, the temperature in the garden is 2 ℃ - 4 ℃ lower than that in the outside world. Under the white birch trees, the grass is like the grass, the stream is murmuring, the birds are chirping in the forest, and the fish are swimming in the shallow water. In autumn, the golden wind blows, the sky is clear, the forest is dyed, and the scenery is more charming, which makes people forget to return. In winter, the park is covered with silver and plain clothes, and the shadow of the tree mother-in-law is shining with the blue sky.
