The small stone forest (Ashima scenic area) is divided into several gardens by its thick and solid stone walls like a screen. The most famous scenic spot in xiaoshilin (Ashima scenic spot) is Ashima. When the night falls and the lights shine, it is colorful and charming.

Big stone forest

The big stone forest is composed of dense stone peaks, like a rubble basin. The stone forest here is upright and abrupt, with smooth lines and light blue gray. Bushao mountain

Bushao mountain is located in the east of the big stone forest and the south of the small stone forest. It is bounded by huanlin East Road in the scenic area and is distributed in a north-south direction. The landform belongs to the eastern slope platform of the big stone forest dissolution depression. It was named after Zhao FA, the leader of the Yi People's Volunteer Army in Shilin in the late Qing Dynasty, who had garrisoned here and set up a sentry to patrol the mountain. The top of the mountain is 1796.7m above sea level, nearly 50m higher than the peak Pavilion of the big stone forest, which is the highest elevation of the stone forest scenic spot. When you climb the mountain, you can see the forest, the pines, and the uneven pillars; when you walk in the mountains, you can see the outstanding stone forest, and the Jianfeng mountain. There are many columnar stone forests in the area, with unique landscapes such as "five stone gates" and "pines". There are giant gastropod fossils, coral fossils and other marine fossils in the scenic spot, recording the flourishing underwater world in Shilin area 270 million years ago.

Li ziyuanqing

Liziyuanqing is outside the ring forest road, on the barren hills with a radius of tens of miles, it is full of strange columns and stones, some gather and scatter, some rise and fall, and there are not too many tall trees competing with the stone forest, maintaining the natural style. On the stone wall of the jungle about 300 meters southeast of huanlin Road, there is an ancient cliff painting with bold and rough images of people, animals, objects, stars and moon. According to relevant experts, this is a primitive religious content, which is very similar to the figures in Zuojiang cliff painting in Guangxi.

Qiqi wind tunnel

Qi wind tunnel is a cave that can breathe. Among the many caves in Shilin County, it is the most peculiar. Although the cave is small and about 1 meter in diameter, it makes a gasping sound like an old cow every rainy season. Some people deliberately use mud to seal the hole, and it can also blow the mud away effortlessly. If dry firewood is ignited in the hole, the wind in the hole will blow the flames and smoke. After stopping for more than 10 minutes, it begins to breathe in again, and the fireworks are "swallowed" into the hole, so that it can breathe in again and again, and the cycle is endless. The phenomenon of breathing is not common in all seasons. It usually occurs between June and October. Qiqi wind tunnel has not yet been developed and is a reserve scenic spot.

Shilinzhi cloud cave

Shilin Zhiyun cave is located in a large limestone mountain on the east side of Anshi highway, 6km northwest of Shilin and xiaoshilin. The cave is 400 meters long, 3-15 meters wide and 5-30 meters high, in the shape of "Ya". The two sections of the cave are connected by a low and narrow portal.
