Tianzhu Mountain in the East and longhaijiao town in the south are under the jurisdiction of mayangxi ecotourism area. It is 8 kilometers away from the county seat, 29 kilometers away from Zhangzhou city and 35 kilometers away from Xiamen Special Economic Zone. Tiancheng mountain is divided into North and South peaks, about 100 meters apart. It is called "Tiancheng" in the South and "Xifa" in the north. The two peaks are towering and extremely charming. This mountain used to be a powerful battlefield for the heroes and the birthplace of the talents of the pillars. In the last years of the Tang Dynasty, Huang Chao unveiled the pole and brought it to Fujian and Thailand. He once fought with the Tang army who came to suppress him by the danger of tianchengshan.

In recent years, Xiamen Nanputuo zhizang monk has raised funds to plan and build a Buddhist research base and Guqin training center in Tiancheng mountain. The strategy of developing Changtai County by tourism is arousing the charm of Tiancheng mountain.

Landscape features

This mountain is only 342 meters above sea level, although it is not as majestic as Tianzhu Mountain, another famous mountain in the county. But it is famous for its wonderful natural landscape and the Buddhist holy land in Southern Fujian.

There are many secluded caves and stone screens on the mountain, such as baizhangping, tianyoudeng, zhongshizhai, Baoyin cave, qiaoyang cave, banhe cave, songlinxuan, Tianjing lake, etc. In the Ming Dynasty, Yang Yingzhong, a Jinshi from the county, resigned and returned to his hometown. After that, he built a village to live in seclusion, added wanshilou, Qingxu Pavilion, Chaofu residence, xinyuantang, suijiayan and so on. Tiancheng mountain is full of big stones and boulders, which are either stacked or crisscrossed horizontally or vertically, or stand as a platform or a room. There is a special bamboo species on the mountain. Its stem is square and shaped like chopsticks. There is a legend of "Luoyuan chopsticks into bamboo", which also adds magical and charming color to Tiancheng mountain.

There are many rocks in Tiancheng peak, some stand alone, some pile up into scenery, some towering dozens of feet, and some look like lively animals. The ancients also had magical names for rocks, such as baizhangping, tianyoudeng, turtle climbing wall, carp stone, etc. Looking at the name and the appearance, it's really vivid and amazing.

General Office

There is a cave on the south slope. The cave is about 5 meters high and covers an area of about 100 square meters. It can accommodate dozens of people. The north side of the cave wall is close to the mountain slope, and the southeast and west sides are suspended. The ancients built stone walls with stones and left doors and windows. The cave is open and bright, and the air is smooth. What's more surprising is that the top of the cave is covered with a huge rock. It is said that Yang Yingzhong, a native of Mingyi, once taught in this cave, so people called this cave "buzhengting" and "buzhengxue".

Chaotian Avenue

The eastern foot of Tiancheng mountain is chaotianling, where there is a famous ancient post road Chaotian Avenue. Since the Tang Dynasty, it has been a main channel from Zhangzhou Prefecture and Changtai County to Shanxi and Beijing. In 1440, the inspection department was set up at the entrance of Chaotian tunnel. Now, the PuJiao line passes through this ancient road, which has already become a natural moat.

Jialingkong

According to the mountain, the cave is formed by the natural superposition of dozens of huge rocks. The cave is more than 10 meters long, 2 meters high and 1.5 meters wide. The bottom of the cave is inclined at about 60 degrees. The top, bottom, left and right of the cave are overlapped rocks. Through this hole, we must be careful, hand and foot, crawling body, climbing or sliding step by step.

Stone drum rock

There are many fascinating scenes in Tiancheng mountain. On a huge stone, there is a round pool with a depth of 2 meters and an area of about 6 square meters. The pool has accumulated water for many years and never dries up. It is called Tianjing pool. There is also a huge stone, on which there is a flat stone. If visitors step on the flat stone, they will make a sound, which is called shiguyan. Strange scenes are accompanied by moving legends, such as "Tiancheng leaky rice barn", "Luoyuan chopsticks into bamboo", "Yang Buzheng emerged into an eagle" and so on, which add charming color to Tiancheng mountain.
