Guangxi University for nationalities is located in the beautiful Acacia lake of Nanning, the capital of Guangxi. It was founded in 1952. It was originally the Guangxi Branch of the Central University for Nationalities (now the Central University for Nationalities). It was renamed Guangxi University for Nationalities in 1953, Guangxi University for Nationalities in 1958 and Guangxi University for Nationalities in 2006 Renamed Guangxi University for Nationalities in, it is a University jointly built by the State Ethnic Affairs Committee and the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and a key university in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region during the 12th Five Year Plan period.
