Introduction to the website: Gansu Agricultural University is an excellent undergraduate teaching evaluation School of the Ministry of education and a University jointly built by the Ministry of agriculture and Gansu provincial government. Its predecessor is the National Veterinary College, which was founded in Lanzhou in October 1946. Mr. Sheng Tongsheng, a famous veterinarian, veterinary educator, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and one of the founders of modern veterinary science, serves as the first president. In 1950, it was renamed northwest Veterinary College; in 1951, it was renamed northwest animal husbandry and Veterinary College; in 1958, it was established with Gansu agronomy
